I just snagged a copy of "Ren & Stimpy : The Lost Episodes" and I'm absolutely loving it. I hadn't seen this show in ages, and since all of the episodes on this disc weren't available before, it's like continuing where I left off back when the show was first on TV. The humor is still hilarious in that gross-out way that only Ren & Stimpy can do. There's still plenty of those awesome highly-detailed close-ups of nasty body parts (such as an wax-caked ear or an extremely hairy man ass) in addition to the ever-growing fury of Ren. I must admit, it was a bit weird seeing nudity in the show, (ie: the "Naked Beach Frenzy" episode) but it's handled in that silly R&S way that it doesn't come off as perverted at all like some hentai bullshit or what have you. Besides, while Ren is always horny as hell, he always somehow ends up stuck in the darkest crevasses of some hairy manbeast, rather than with the beautiful girls he's been drooling over. It's just pure hilarity.
As an added bonus, Weird Al Yankovic introduces the DVD and you just can't go wrong with Al. After growing up on his musical parodies, and worshipping the movie "UHF," I'll always be a Yanko-fan. "You make me want to staple bagels to my face, and remove them with a pitchfork!" Turns out John K. (creator of Ren & Stimpy) did the artwork for one of Al's upcoming music videos, so keep an eye out for that one.
So here's a question, if you had to pick your favorite Ren & Stimpy cartoon moment, what would it be? I'm torn between Ren going absolutely insane in the "Space Madness" episode where he shows his adoration for his beloved ice cream bar, and Powdered Toast Man always flying backwards. I don't know why, but I always loved that. So yeah, what's your favorite Ren & Stimpy cartoon moment?

I used to be a big fan of that show as a kid. Recently I finally got around to hanging up some of my aunt's original artwork of the duo in my living room. Two nice sized paintings, one with Ren and the happy helment and one with Stimpy on the moon with a snot drenched finger held into the air with pride.

I loved Ren & Stimpy (along witht he other Nicktoons at the time.). Hilarious show and brought plenty of gags. The second show that came on Spike, however, was excruciating to watch, sinc ethe first episode of that wa sa continuation of "Fire Dogs" and involved a fat fireman taking a constipated, raging shit for like, five minutes.

Ren And Stimpy will always kick major ass. I'd rather watch the lost episodes than the new season of South Park (which really sucks).
Jesse (Guest) on 07/26/2006 7:55 pm
My favorite moment, is when Ren and Stimpy are on an island with a bunch of cannibals, and they have to eat a whole bunch of nasty stuff, and they chow it all down, but then puke because there was a hair in it.
at least i think that was Ren and Stimpy.
PS... go to the Penny Arcade Expo.
Smon (Guest) on 07/26/2006 8:39 pm
My favorite moment? Between all the chaos of the show, Powdered-Toast-Man, the Yak day thing, and of course Log... I loved... DON'T WHIZ ON THE ELECTRIC FENCE!

3 words, Rubber...Nipple...Salesmen
Genius.

The one were Ren and Stimpy go fishing with Wilber Cobb, and Ren gets totally pissed off and yells as loud as he can 'shut up our you'll scare away all the fish'. Then it does an awesome cut showing all night passing by without anyone moving. Then Stimpy caughs and get goes all ape shit crazy on him telling him it was his fault that they didn't catch anything.
It was the best.

I've always been partial to-
S- Ren, you'll never believe what HAPPENED!
R- what happened?
S- something... came out of my BUTT!

My favorite Ren and Stimpy episodes were when they made fun of the nature documentaries. Especially the episode where Stimpy hunted for senior citizens such as the "Grizzled Kurmudgen"
And my favorite line from said episode, "LOOK OUT THOSE GUMS ARE RAZOR SHARP!"
Ladd (Guest) on 07/27/2006 10:41 am
LOG LOG LOG!
R&S was filled with classic moments. But I believe it is LOG (from Blammo) that will be one for the ages. I will remember it, even when I am 64, old, gray, and flatulating constantly.
Al (Guest) on 07/27/2006 11:45 am
I can't believe how bad the SpikeTV episodes were ... Anyhoo, my favorite episode was actually one of the Nick eps after John K. left, the one called "Hermit Ren."
Porkchop Sandwiches (Guest) on 07/27/2006 1:02 pm
Ren And Stimpy...wow, those were the days. I loved the "Space Madness" episode, too, as well as Powdered Toast Man and the Log song. One of the best shows that was on TV, if you ask me.
Bizarcane (Guest) on 07/27/2006 3:02 pm
Loved the Happy Helmet.
Ren shrieked "So. Happy. Ironing! for. Stim-py!" as he ironed Stimpy's briefs.
shannon (Guest) on 07/27/2006 3:39 pm
i always liked whenver Ren and Stimpy woul dget into Happy Happy Joy Joy. by the way, i also bought the Lost Episodes..... "Do you want to see my pussy? Do you want to see my pussy?"
Sejanoz (Guest) on 07/27/2006 7:26 pm
My favourite episode was 'Blazing Entrails'. It was the one where Stimpy went nuts and Ren had to go inside him to figure out what was wrong.
Here in Australia, they actually screened the lost episode 'Altruists' once.
"Stimpy, give the lady your bra!"
"AAAH! Not the one you got me for our anniversary!"
ChocloMan (Guest) on 07/28/2006 1:04 am
I wish I had the money to buy that online (The shipping costs are insane and they don't sell that kind of stuff here :( )
Also, did you tell Tom I said hi? :D
macrodeath (Guest) on 07/28/2006 7:37 am
I love the part, where Ren and Stimpy are trying to get into circus freakshow. The moment when the circus director shows that he has a baby growing in his stomach, was perfect. Reminded of Total Recall movie, but in Ren and Stimpy, the baby's ass was outside the guys stomach and the head and upper torso was left inside...
Erin (Guest) on 07/28/2006 10:14 am
I could only watch it when my mom wasn't around, but my favorite episode is when they go to the Galapagos Islands and see all the weird Ren and Stimpy-like animals.
-RoG- (Guest) on 07/28/2006 1:01 pm
Jesse, you're not the first one to tell me to go to the Penny Arcade Expo. Doubt I'll go this year since it's so soon and I'm not exactly swimming in a room filled with cash like Scrooge McDuck (but damned if I haven't wanted to do that). What exactly goes on at the expo anyway? Is it just a much smaller version of the comic-con and more people playing LAN games?
"3 words, Rubber…Nipple…Salesmen"
Rob, haha yes, easily one of the greatest R&S episodes of all time. Totally forgot about that one!
Angryhydralisk / Al, yeah I heard about how bad the Spike TV episodes were. I didn't believe it at first, but then I saw them with my own eyes. Thankfully this new DVD helped erase the memory of those shitty Spike episodes from my mind.
ChocloMan, you could always try getting it on eBay to save a little money. And no, I didn't tell him. It's not one of those things you think of when you're at the Comic-Con haha...

I caught Ren and Stimpy at the tail end of its run (Well, at least in my hazy memories), as I was born in 1988 and half the time my dad wouldn't let me watch it because he thought it was a bad influence on me.
I'd have to say my favorite moment that I can remember was Ren screaming "STIMPY I HAVE HAD ENOUGH OF THIS STUPID VOODOO CRAP!"
I was shocked, you know, a 5-year old not only hearing a curse word but also hearing it from a cartoon on Nickelodeon? I was amazed. Maybe that contributed to my now having the mouth of a very angry drunken sailor.
Jeff The Ninja (Guest) on 07/28/2006 2:11 pm
I will always remember the Ghost house Episode. Where stimpy takes that ghost and Pulls him between his legs in the shower. pure Nasitude.
Jake (Guest) on 07/28/2006 6:41 pm
My favorite moment was at the end of the episode with Ren's stupid cousin when Ren whizzes on the electric fence. Ren, Stimpy, and the stupid cousin all end up in Hell and the devil says, "So, you whizzed on the electric fence?" That cracked me up as a kid.
RICHARD (Guest) on 07/29/2006 11:44 am
Hey,you guys are all so lucky, i was born in the winter of 93' i missed those episodes, and I had to watch the crappy episodes on SPIKE TV. Sometimes when I wake up, my eyes bleed... ah well id rather watch ren and stimpy then Stripperela. it just comes to show you, the older, the hornier, and Stan Lee is no exception, true believers. Oh, and -RoG-, I'd've gotten pictures of that red milky, cereal but theres only one exception, I ate it all :'( and its not a crazy blood red, its more of a pink? maybe the creator of superman (who was canadian) was gay maybe thats why it turns pink? I dunno... :D
Shara (Guest) on 07/29/2006 11:55 am
All of my favorite R&S moments involve Filthy the Baboon (one way or another). :P Best rabid monkey ever.
Bob (Guest) on 07/29/2006 1:30 pm
I can't remember the name of the episode my fave moment comes from, just the quote: "There's no dog.... But there's a baboon!"
ColdFusion (Guest) on 07/29/2006 2:10 pm
Heh, I was never allowed to watch it.. but I think even if I had, I wouldn't have gotten it. That was one damn mature cartoon there. XD
Too bad the new one was on that doomed Spike channel, rather than.. like.. adult swim.. or it might still be big today. ^_^
Jesse (Guest) on 07/29/2006 6:15 pm
To RoG,
PaX was more board game oriented than I expected, lots of table top stuff going on. There was a LAN room, but it was kinda weak in my opninion, probably just because I am more into the table games. Theres a big sales area with upcoming games, like last year I played pirates of the burning coast (or something like that) D&D online, the next Zelda game. There are a lot of pannels from people in the game industry as well as the webcomics industry. There are concerts too, I loved watching MC Chris last year.
Overall, it was just a ton of gamer fun and I loved every second of it, and this year is only going to be better. (24 hours of fun, no closing down at night)
Last year I got the two PA guys to sign my nintendo (NES), and I am hoping to continue the tradition (I REALLY REALLY want a -RoG- signature on that baby) but I tottaly understand the cash flow situation, thats why I didn't get to go to the comic-con. :(

One of the most famous and best R&S moments:
"DON'T TOUCH IT! THAT'S THE HISTORY ERASER BUTTON, YOU FOOL!"
macrodeath (Guest) on 07/30/2006 5:16 am
Hey, i just saw an episode where Ren & Stimpy are gay. They go under the sheets to have anal sex, squirting sperm everywhere...
Ren is wearing a spaceball clothes and Stimpy is waving he's ass side to side.
It was pretty disqusting...
Chris (Guest) on 07/30/2006 7:39 am
Come on the best moment has Got to be the happy happy joy joy song. it's a classic...er of a classic heh. "Well I'll teach you to be happy....I'll teach your grandma to suck eggs!"
Nickzilla (Guest) on 07/30/2006 5:06 pm
I liked the episode where they went to join the circus as freaks too. The way the owner asks them what makes them qualified freaks and Ren just says "Can't you see it man! We're joined together!" and the guy just says "that's nothing... TAKE A LOOK AT THIS!!!" and tears his shirt open. Awesome.
Oh, and almost any "No sir. I don't like it!" quote.
El Guano (Guest) on 07/30/2006 7:50 pm
Im Fond of the Episode where Stimpy enters his belly button,Gilbert Gottfreid got down right scarey!

Powdered Toast Man is awesome...those were some of my favorite episodes. "Quick, man! Click tenaciously to my buttocks!"
johhnydamage (Guest) on 07/31/2006 2:46 pm
*any time with mr. horse.
*the royal canadian kilted yaksman
*and the episode where stimpy kept having to stop "bad juju", i think he hit imself with thorns.
*circus freaks
was it just me, or was "Ren Seeks Help", just a bit...creepy.

"This vacuum cleaner can suck a monkey through twenty feet of garden hose!"
That's basically all I can remember, good times.
Fiona (Guest) on 08/07/2006 5:19 am
My god, my brother loved that show when we were little. All I remember is The Powdered Toast Man and the rubber nipple salesman. Thinking back on it, you wonder how the hell it stayed on air for so long.

[...] After seeing Weird Al do the intro on that Ren & Stimpy DVD I mentioned recently, I was reminded that he also had a TV show for a little while. So I just got a copy of “The Weird Al Show” on DVD and it’s absolutely great. I don’t know why, but I never saw the show when it originally aired, but I always heard that it was entertaining. Being a huge fan of his highly underrated “UHF” movie, this is the closest thing to a sequel us fans could get. [...]

wait, so R&S is an adult cartoon now?
Clawz (Guest) on 03/19/2007 5:46 am
I haven't seen all the episodes, but my cousin showed me some and... well... I LOVED IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love all of it! My favourite parts are probably, "No sir I don't like it", "YOU FAT, BOATED IDIOT!!" (Ren slapping Stimpy silly), "Nope. No way. Forget it." (Stimpy's Big Day), the Log song, Space Madness and EVERYTHING else I've seen of this show!
