I remember when the Virtual Console for the Nintendo Wii was announced, wherein a bunch of classic games would be downloadable not just for earlier incarnations for Nintendo's game consoles, but for the SEGA, Turbo-Grafx, and Neo-Geo systems as well, it seemed like a very promising idea. Not only would I get to replay some of the awesome games I enjoyed in my youth (that my parents sold at a yard sale without telling me when I went off to college), but I would finally get to play many of the games that I'd never had a chance to play (thanks to never owning anything but an NES back in the day). I'd played some SNES and Genesis games over at friends' houses, but I never really had the chance to explore them in depth. So this Virtual Console was an ass kicking idea that should be one of the best things about owning a Wii, right?
Why then has it been such a horrible disappointment? Sure, at first things seemed to be coming out fairly quickly, but since the beginning the output has slowed to a trickle such that you hardly notice when new games even come out. There are literally thousands of games out there that are viable candidates for digital rerelease, and yet, they were being released initially at a rate of three-per-week, which has now slowed to a snail's pace of one or two games a week, and sometimes we get nothing at all. They keep adding new consoles, releasing a few games for them, and then neglecting the consoles that were on there from the beginning.
Why the hell is it taking so damned long? I realize there are licensing issues to be dealt with (though I can't imagine any developer not wanting to participate since there are no production costs for them), but games like Pro Wrestling have been on the "upcoming releases" list since 2006. Is there any particular reason that this game should be taking nearly two years to release? Not that I'm looking forward to that one at all, I just want them to shuffle it off the upcoming games list so they can get some better stuff on deck. It is now June, and there hasn't been a SNES game released since March. Why? The SNES games are the ones I'm most interested in, and yet, they seem quite determined not to make money by selling any of them to me.
They should be releasing a MINIMUM of three games every single week, and with the size of the potential library available to them across all those systems, it really should be a higher number than that. They're not going to run out of content any time soon, even if they released ten a week. I really want a chance to play games I never checked out like the Super Star Wars series, or Castlevania 3, and I would love to go through awesome classics like Crystalis again.
So get off your fucking ass, Nintendo. I want to play some games.
What games are you guys looking forward to finally being able to play, or replaying? I could use some recommendations (provided they are ever released, of course).

I gave up on the virtual console. The only one I bought for it was Sin and Punishment.. I'll stick to "other" means for older console games if they want to be dicks and not release the good ones.
kakumei on 07/01/2008 2:19 pm
i would love "earthbound" and "chrono trigger." i figured "earthbound" would be a shoe-in for the virtual console what with ness's repeat appearances in the "super smash brothers" games... i'm very excited for "kirby's superstar," which is slated to make an appearance sometime soon, i've heard.
LeNNy (Guest) on 07/01/2008 2:25 pm
I want to play the origanil Super Smash Bros. I was supprised it was not on there.
Peppie (Guest) on 07/01/2008 2:30 pm
Not that I'm condoning this, but I have libraries full of old SNES, SEGA Genesis, N64, and NES games on my laptop hard drive that I play with emulators. I know it isn't the same, but at least I can still play Sonic the Hedgehog 2 without waiting for it to be released. All you need is the game rom, an emulator and a joystick (or keyboard if you are really cheap).
Drunken_Lemur408 on 07/01/2008 4:26 pm
I'm interested in playing the Mario RPG when it finally gets here, and Majora's Mask, which I always liked more than Ocarina. Also, I'm interested in finally playing the Earthworm Jim games.
Silver on 07/01/2008 4:30 pm
I'd definitely go with Chrono Trigger, that's the greatest RPG I have ever played due to a fine balance of history, graphics and gameplay... Even the multiple endings are a cool addition. Final Fantasy VI (Yes, that's right VI, not III like we know it here in North America) would be another RPG I'd gladly play on the TV screen since I played and finished these both games on emulation programs and I assume that the feeling is not the same one.
I don't own a Wii, but I never knew that the Virtual Console could prove to be such a lame online system for downloading good 'ol school games.
By the way Proto, are those downloadable games perfect clones of the original ones or have they suffered modifications (visual enhancements, audio variations...)?
DarkfireTaimatsu on 07/01/2008 4:51 pm
I've always wanted to play EarthBound, but NoA likes to pretend it doesn't exist. I wouldn't say no to releases of Super Mario RPG or Jet Force Gemini or the N64 Bomberman titles either, if possible.
Mostly, though, I use the Virtual Console to play N64 games that I already own.
Ant10708 on 07/01/2008 4:53 pm
Almost everything to play. The virtual console has been the biggest letdown with nintendo wii. I hope you emailed your article to them.
porkboy on 07/01/2008 5:11 pm
what's funny is that my mom told me she was getting rid of my genesis, snes and n64 and all the games for each, but the justification being owning the xbox. I only had 2 genesis games because I had originally thought it died (it was just dusty). It also happened after I got the genesis and snes and my mom gave my nes over to my uncle whose nes stopped working. I don't miss them ... much.
FlameAdder (Guest) on 07/01/2008 5:18 pm
The King of Fighters '96. That's where the series went from being neat to awesome. It's also when Rugal stopped being the final boss (for a time). Coincidence? Yes.
Shane Skekel (Guest) on 07/01/2008 5:27 pm
That's the only major gripe I have with the Wii; but at least it doesn't have reliability issues like X360 and PS3 (even if they have Bayonetta).
Misty (Guest) on 07/01/2008 5:34 pm
Japan gets a shitload of games every week. Last week they got 5 games from Virtual Console and WiiWare combined and that seems to be an on average thing.
I don't understand why America is focusing mostly on WiiWare and less on classic games. If its because sales haven't been good, I'm not surprised considering the lackluster games released lately....
Yo (Guest) on 07/01/2008 5:48 pm
I don't own a Wii, so I second the question of Silver above:
Are the games exact copies or the companies overhaul them?
Also, I heard that some games are really overpriced, is it true?
Dungeonbrownies on 07/01/2008 5:59 pm
so true.
Ozzie on 07/01/2008 6:23 pm
The Super Star Wars games were pretty goddamn sweet, Proto. You missed out. The final boss battle against Vader in Empire Strikes Back is a thing of beauty.
fugmunky on 07/01/2008 6:26 pm
^^definetly true, seeing as how most of us know of and are experienced with the wonderful world of emulation.
Before the wii came out, I was under the impression that (if anything the cheaper games) were gonna be free for dl. it's prolly a better deal to go find some cheap used gamecube games and play them on the wii instead
fugmunky on 07/01/2008 6:28 pm
ps...meant older games, not cheaper
Catsimboy (Guest) on 07/01/2008 6:29 pm
The problem is that the Wii has the tiniest little flash memory hard drive. A couple of Wiiware games, a few Virtual Console games and your saves and bam! It's full! They need to fix it so any SD memory you put in it can be used as extended hard drive space without it forcing you to move the data back and forth to use it. It's really just short-sightedness and it hurts everyone, they make less money and the consumers can't load their Wiis up with tons of games.
gingerninja on 07/01/2008 6:55 pm
Hey Proto,
I want to see Earthbound, because I hate most RPG games but it looks promising as a quirky title.
I also want to see Clayfighter and the older shinobi games, since the only one on there now is the third.
I sympathize man.
Desert_Screams on 07/01/2008 7:00 pm
Wii? Huh? I've always been a Sony-slave. Sorry. My sympathies, though-- Nintendo's been behind the curve for a few years now, and this article shows some of the reasons for this.
gr8bishie on 07/01/2008 7:37 pm
Chrono Trigger is an absolute must! I'm surprised they haven't added it yet. I shelled out twenty bucks on the PS remake and all I got for it was a few minutes of anime-style cutscenes. Though, admittedly, the addition of FF4 was nice. Oh, and yeah, some games are WAAAY pricey.
mercatfat (Guest) on 07/01/2008 7:50 pm
It's commonly mistaken that there are no costs to put a game on VC. They have to pay for the ESRB to rerate the game, which is some $2500 odd to do. A game like Super Mario Bros is going to make that back; Vigilante on TG16 might not.
Also, why is Square going to put a game on VC when they could rerelease it at five times the $8 cost on Virtual Console? Be honest here, people.
Drunken_Lemur408 on 07/01/2008 8:39 pm
I completley agree catsimboy. I went on a shopping spree and now can probably only fit one more title before I have to start putting them on SD cards. It doesn't help that my friend sent me that lame Ping Pong WiiWare game for my birthday.
greenimp on 07/01/2008 8:52 pm
well, if you really want to play all those great old games, why bother waiting for the virtual console to cough them up for you, and even then having to pay for it when there are so many of them free online in ROM form?
Metal Misfit on 07/01/2008 9:02 pm
greenimp, (free) ROMs make for a good argument, but when it comes down to it, *I* would rather be sitting comfortably on the couch or in a chair with a larger sized screen to play the game on. Comfort makes the $5 for Punch-Out worth it.
Proto, I feel ya on the VC slowdown. I haven't even bothered checking it since March because I know nothing is coming out. There's really no excuse for only 1 or 2 games being released each week given the number of titles out there for those systems.
Nintendo has seriously dropped the ball on this one.
Aura Fox on 07/01/2008 10:10 pm
Man i remember Chrystalis, i got lost wandering around on the dolphin. :(
Huh!? on 07/01/2008 10:18 pm
Damn good article Protoclown, and I've also gotta agree with everyone talking about lack of memory. But does anyone else think maybe the VC NES games at least could cost a little less in terms of Wii points? If a $20 points card gives you 2000 points, should an NES game really cost 500? I understand they've gotta make a buck, but still...
stitchfan626 on 07/01/2008 10:25 pm
the 2 games i want to see on the virtual console is Shock Troopers, and Shock Troopers: 2nd Squad.
Jay-tee (Guest) on 07/01/2008 10:25 pm
And, if you're in the realm of solely RPGS, emulation pretty much is the only way to finish the most titles quickly. Cutting off 5-20 hours using turbo mode while grinding is not to be underestimated.
Condaman74 on 07/01/2008 11:20 pm
Boogeraman. I doubt they will ever release it on the VC but I can dream, can't I?

Poxpower on 07/01/2008 11:43 pm
Here is a list of reasons to NOT just get an emulator, buy a USB controller and play said games on a computer:
- waste money
- cry
- wait for smelly losers to port a simple rom any kid can find online to a last-gen system that should be used for real games.
- be a homo
how can anyone pass that up?
If I get the games on the Wii, not only do I have shitty controls, but I ALSO get to pay for the games? Wow! Finally I can show my support to Donkey Kong. I hope they make it big with that one.
Added bonus: no save states, no cheats, no online shenanigans, no pre-programmable moves.
But at least the Wii is portable, so you can play these games on the go as opposed to the comp.
OH
WAIT

It's times like these when you say "Nintendo, fuck you, I'll stick with emulators. If you can't even beat a bunch of nerds who do this from their basements in their spare time, you deserve NO MONEYS"

They're probably still raking it in from... well, I don't really know who would spend large amounts of money on it.
60Watt (Guest) on 07/02/2008 3:38 am
Shadowrun for the Genesis and the one for SNES.
Deja Vu for the NES.
-RoG- on 07/02/2008 4:21 am
Honestly, most of the NES games I'm not even interested in buying on the VC, because yeah, they should be cheaper. The Neo-Geo games are what I really think they should be more on top of. Allow me to explain...
When I was a kid, the Neo-Geo system was pretty much a legend. An unattainable über-system that even the most insanely spoiled kids dreamed about. Not only was the system itself expensive, but each game (if memory serves) was at least $200 a piece! Granted, these were true arcade quality games and it really was like having an arcade in your home at the time, but still... WAY overpriced.
That being said, the opportunity to play all of those great games we never got to experience when we were kids is extremely enticing to me. Yes, I could easily get them on an emulator, but I'd rather have 'em on the console instead of having to hook my computer up to the big TV screen.
If Nintendo was smart, they'd do their best to get every last Neo-Geo game up for purchase as soon as possible.
Until that happens, I'll just continue to enjoy the actual Wii releases such as Metroid and the latest Mario Kart. Still need to purchase me a copy of Geometry Wars: Galaxies for the Wii as well.
Gamingasshole (Guest) on 07/02/2008 4:55 am
Earthbound, Kirby's Dreamland 3, Goldeneye (if ever made possible), and Castlevania 3 come to mind.
Wheatgerm (Guest) on 07/02/2008 5:52 am
I use it for import games, hence the first purchase on mine was Sin and Punishment, and I haven't bought anything else until another hard to find import release comes out. So it's veeeeery useful for poor English people like myself.
Artix (Guest) on 07/02/2008 7:34 am
Wow, as much as I respect this site (fucking amazing job, RoG), the level of idiocy in this one post is almost GameFAQs level. I see people asking for Chrono Trigger and FFVI. Square will remake them for $40 before even remotely considering rereleasing it for $8. Hell, they only begrudgingly gave Japan Super Mario RPG. NoA likes to pretend Earthbound doesn't exist so don't expect it for a while, or maybe as a joke on Mother's Day next year or something.
And above all, remember that the Wii still has 2-3 years left in it. So stop throwing a fucking hissy fit because Earthbound or Majora's Mask (as much as I'd love it) isn't there this week. It wasn't there last week and you survived just fine.
EmulationIsTheSolution (Guest) on 07/02/2008 9:14 am
Like peppie said, you could get full libraries of games and play them on your PC, Laptop, whatever..
Also: You know the Wii's Virtual Console is pretty much just an Emulator itself, it was found out on an emulation forum.
Sooo, you could get an Emulator on your comp, and collect games... then proceed to play them...
Another Also: Earthbound and Chrono Trigger are awesomesauce.
See this link: http://www.square-enix.co.jp/ctds/
Chrono Trigger for DS
Art Vandelay on 07/02/2008 11:09 am
If you have a modded ps2, you could find a SNES modulator and download it. I have the emulator and it has pretty much every SNES game that has ever existed.
Mister Tea on 07/02/2008 11:22 am
My guess is because Nintendo doesn't really give a shit about old-school gaming anymore. They're too busy courting the "casual" gamers with stupid shit like Wii Fit and Cooking Mama.
And that's certainly their business, but they're going to need a plan B: once some new fad comes around, those "casual" types are going to stop buying games again, and all that will be left are the lifelong gamers that Nintendo's already given the bird.
And yeah, yeah: Metroid and Mario are great, sure. They're good because they'd still be enjoyable without the motion sensing controls. Most of the Wii's software isn't like that; most are terribly mediocre "minigames" dressed up with wacky controls; stuff that you might enjoy for about twenty minutes but then never want to touch again. Nintendo can always be counted on for good first-party games, but their third-party stuff just eats.
Hate to say it, Rog, but I don't think Nintendo is going to get their ass in gear and the Virtual Console any time soon. As long as non-game shit like Wii Fit is still selling, they don't have to.
MartinSargent on 07/02/2008 1:44 pm
Virtual Console is a bit of a dissapointment, but the Wii itself is not. 1st party games are great, and 3rd party is good if you look past the mini games. Wii gets awesome, original stuff like No More Heroes. Mad World looks to be just as crazy and awesome if not more crazy and awesome than NMH. The Conduit looks promising as well.
0dd1 on 07/02/2008 3:42 pm
Well, first I want them to lower the prices.
A LOT.
I mean A WHOLE lot.
Like, a lot the size of a quadruple-decker parking lot. That big of a lot.
And then, I'd look forward to playing Kirby's Dreamland 3 for I believe either the SNES or the NES (never played it, always wanted to) and Super Smash Bros. for N64.
I'd love to see Kirby Super Star, but I've heard it's being ported to the Nintendo DS, so I'll stick to a portable version, thank you very much.
Drunken_Lemur408 on 07/02/2008 5:03 pm
Seriously, on the DS. I've always wanted to play that game. Chrono Trigger is actaully be ported to the DS now. Who thinks were going to see Mother 3 in America?
RADIX (Guest) on 07/02/2008 7:43 pm
I thought it was emulation problems until I read that post about Japan getting an five games a week as opposed to our one. Maybe the Virtual Console isn't as successful here. In any case, I only plan on getting a Wii in order to play Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Megaman 9 (slated for a September release).
As for computer emulation, I try to save that for playing games I don't have a chance in hell of experiencing otherwise, like Wonderswan titles.
Ronin S on 07/02/2008 9:26 pm
RoG, I played Chrono Trigger, Earthbound and all the original Final Fantasy games on emulation ages ago, and some that were never released in North America.
I love playing the Wii. But until they officially translate Bahamut's Lagoon, Sailor Moon: Another Story and Seiken Densetsu 3, I'm not bothering with this feature.
TheSquishy on 07/02/2008 9:51 pm
I would recommend Punch Out!! because its a fairly under-rated NES title. But if it ever sees a VC release, i whole-heartedly recommend Earthbound.
TheSyndicate88 on 07/02/2008 11:11 pm
Even if they do release them, don't get the Super Star Wars series. They're harder than a diamond on Viagra, for serious.
Mister Tea on 07/03/2008 1:57 am
Syndicate ain't kidding. I managed to beat Super Return of the Jedi numerous times, but the first two kicked my ass something awful. They're good, but extremely difficult.
SuperMax (Guest) on 07/03/2008 8:29 am
They DID however release some crappy ones. What were they THINKING when they released Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles from the NES?!
Icculus on 07/03/2008 9:05 am
Releasing the TMNT game is actually brilliant. Consider that everyone who played when it first came out is now between 26-33. Having matured over the years and logging thousands of video game hours we should be able to beat it now...WRONG! The shit is still impossible. I do keep reading from Rog and Proto that they have trouble deactivating the underwater bombs. I never found that that hard. Don't get me wrong though I've never beaten the game and don't get much further after the bombs.
muntere on 07/03/2008 9:27 am
Shaq Fu! Just kidding. Actually, I'd like to see Jackie Chan's Action Kung Fu for the NES or any of the WWF wrestling games released for the SNES.
Hanglyman on 07/03/2008 11:40 am
What I want to know is why Chrono Trigger isn't available for GBA or DS yet. They did every pre-Playstation Final Fantasy game, why the hell haven't they done Chrono Trigger?
As for the Wii, I was considering buying one partly for this Virtual Console service, and every time I visited a friend with a Wii, I'd check to see if they had released any new games I'd want to buy. After two or three times over several months, I realized they were releasing absolutely nothing. Oh well, I thought, surely it'll speed up once they finish releasing all the Zelda, Mario and Metroid Wii games. Now I hear it's apparently slowed down even more... why did they bother in the first place? It really is like they don't want to make money.
–Shoal– on 07/03/2008 11:44 am
I'm mainly waiting for Earthbound and Kirby SuperStar (if that isn't already out).
I don't expect any Final Fantasy titles to be released though. They've already been ported to the Playstation, and most of them have been remade for the GBA. So, I'm sure Squeenix would rather people pay $25-30 dollars instead of, what is it, $10?
Mister Tea on 07/03/2008 12:29 pm
Hanglyman: See my first post. They're not doing anything with the Virtual Console because people are buying more of the "fun for twenty minutes" crap instead. Who needs great classics when you can flail your arms and pretend to COOK stuff?
And oh yeah, Chrono Trigger is coming out for DS. If it does well, maybe that'll persuade Square/Enix to wise up and make an actual sequel this time.
Duct Tape Ninja on 07/03/2008 12:45 pm
I play with roms myself, but the only reason i would get the VC games is for the few esa protected games out there.
ColdFusion (Guest) on 07/03/2008 7:16 pm
I've got almost no interest in this, I'm afraid, cuz older games are effing hard without codes... so unless there's a virtual game genie on there too, I'm boned. :(
Double J (Guest) on 07/03/2008 9:04 pm
From some of the industry rumors I've heard, there is some issues with Earthbound hitting the VC because of some music problems, apparently they sampled some Beatles music in it and don't plan on altering the game code.
With Nintendo and Squares new found love for one another, especially with the DS since we've gotten FF III and IV remakes, Chrono Trigger coming out, and tons of other various AWESOME DS games, I bet it's just a matter of time before Super Mario RPG sees the light of day on the handheld.

Riot.EXE on 07/04/2008 2:07 am
to hell with all that nonsense...I love the Emulation better.
1 - Laptop
2 - S Video Cable to the TV (hushmouth to all those talking about how they'd rather play on a tv than on a small computer screen...well there you go, motherfucker.)
3 - PS2 to USB converters. Dual Shock controllers are pretty versatile, you'll already have a SNES-like controller, it's comfortable enough to be an NES controller (Square = B, X = A), and whatever else. for Genesis fans, track down those Street Fighter anniversary controllers...the layout is pretty much exactly like a 6 button Genesis/Sega Saturn controller. Fighting Game fans can rock out on a Hori Real Arcade Pro stick (or whatever joystick they perfer).
4 - Roms are free, so that's always good, but some are harder to track because they are ESA protected (meaning, you will catch hell if you're caught hosting that rom on your download site. Castlevania: Dracula X for TG-16 being a prime example...)
so, yeah...it's true that it's all about preference (and in this case...moral code? nevermind the fact that back when Emulation first blew up, many developers didn't have much a problem with it because it wasn't like they were making any money off of their older shit anymore...much like buying a used game at your local Gamestop/GameCrazy/EB. As long as you're not selling the roms, there isn't much of an issue.)
And yes...I can totally see the other side of this argument.
Black Drazon (Guest) on 07/04/2008 9:26 pm
What's really the only thing that pisses me off about this is that the European market IS getting heavy VC support. Now, on one hand Europe was scorned and ignored by the game industry for its entire existence so I'm willing to do my drudges, but quadruple the games some weeks? Someone at NoA isn't doing their job.
And yeah, Silver, where's Terranigma and the rest of the Quintet games? Heck, I'd go for Actraiser 2. More fun times, more people on the old message boards. C'mon!

It would be nice to have the Final Fantasy games out, and of course teh Resident Evil games.. but probably won't happen.
Silver on 07/09/2008 12:05 am
Go to any videogame retail store that has some used NES games for sale and you'll find out that most of them are worth a buck or two... The online service shouldn't be that overpriced.
HowardC on 07/09/2008 11:41 pm
Unrealeeased VC games is NOT a problem. Try google sometime.... anyone owning twilightprincess can install the homebrew channel and then install a wad manager (vc and wiiware games are stored in wad formate).
Download some free software and you can inject pc roms into the various vc emulators, making a channel of your favrite game.
People shouldn't really have much or a moral objection either... afterall, you can't buy what they won't sell.

Even though the companies cried their eyes out about licensing abuse, that's the glory of emulators. I can play all the games I never had a chance to play, beat the games I couldn't, and never hear my parents say "it's time to play outside! no more video games!"
Don't feel bad about using emulators, either. If they want them stopped, they'll make it easier for us to gain access to the classics. I'll pay, but not for one game a month (and only the games that had high sales originally).
Also, Check out Megaman 9 people. New megaman, old school graphic gameplay.

Wow.
What a way to whine, bitch, cry, moan, and piss yourself over the excruciatingly minor and barely relevant inconvenience of not getting absoutely everything you want as soon as you scream for Nintendo to "jump".
This blog post fails. And I mean ultimate fail. You just end up sounding like a whiny crybaby throwing a tantrum and not much else.

P.S: I've been more than glad to spend over $80 on the VC for quality games, as well as getting newly aquainted with classics that I hadn't had the chance to own back in the late 80's and early 90's.
And it's been absolutely worth it. Mostly because i'm not a blubbering, simpering crybaby with inane, self-absorbed, entitlement issues.
Nintendo does have to deal with licencing issues, you know. They've done one HELL of a job, considering the money they have to pour out just for this great service alone.
Do you even think of that? Of course not. You're just like 90% of other bitchers and whiners on the 'net. You just don't think.
And yet with a multitude of great titles being offered, you whiners just conveniently ignore ALL THOSE GAMES, and just selfishly whine and piss yourselves about 1 or 2 titles that you "really want", and scream and cry like a 2 year old having a tantrum that simply aren't available, yet.
The main people bitching about the VC are the same people that have already forked over tons of money for the service and yet still bitch about it like a bunch of self-absorbed, ignorant twits about how nothing is ever good enough or up to their ridiculous high stupid expectations.
Thinking that just because they have some kind of blog or a website that this alone gives them the exclusive distinction to be riding on the soapbox atop a high-horse they think they are entitled to scream from with a megaphone of complete hosreshit.
I repeat. This article is like a million exploding suns of blubbering, whiny, self-important, crybaby grade-a failure.
CRYSTALIS LOVER (Guest) on 08/23/2009 12:28 am
I have a suggestion instead, remake SNK Crystalis on its 20th anniversary on nintendo DS or Wii(VC) leave the original story and music in place. If you change anything let it be graphics, anything else do it as an event that occurs after the end of the game tower sequence. You know bonus content right!? I played the original version on 09/14/09 and I cried. I haven’t played this game in 7 years and had forgotten what is was about. I know completely understand the plot. For example Azteca is an android that turns into Draygon and the bipedal dragon that shots beams near the end of the game. Anyways I love Crystalis so much, SNK did a great job on this title thanks to emulators for pc I’m never going to stop playing this game again.
Look I not here to bitch or moan (KARMA comment). I just want Crystalis to get the respect it deserves. PLEASE!!!! put it on the Virtual Console Nintendo. SNK & Nintendo's biggest fan :)

Don't have a Wii, will NEVER have a Wii, or any motion system for that matter. Dropped 500+ dollars lately buying near mint copies of Castlevania 1-3, Super mario rpg, Earthbound (most of the cost), Secrets of mana/evermore, Chrono trigger, Lufia 1/2, Robotrek, Breath of Fire 1/2, mario bros 1/3, Duel NES/SNES system, megaman X-X3, Castlevania:SotN-psx, Super metroid, Dragon warrior 1-4, Dracula X/IV, E.V.O, Megaman 1-6, Super Mario World, Donkey Kong Country 1-3. And some others.
Most were about 4-8 dollars, except Earthbound, which was a whopping 135....though most of those are 200-300, so that was a pretty decent deal. Damn stupidly rare game, haha.
You're probably better off just looking for a system and buying hard-copies of all the games you want, they're often times pretty affordable.
