I've been dragged kicking and screeming into the 21st century, my tape deck is broken and I need to get a "Mp3" player.
If I sound vague, it is because I have no idea what I am talking about. If I sound like a moron it is because I am.
Is this a fairly good one?

I don't know how to work "ebay", so my friend will do it if I give him money. Help me pick a good one. I just want the music. I can afford $AU200.
Also: How do I tell if my computer has a "USB" port? Is 256 MG good or bad?

You'll know if your computer has USB if you can plug one of these into it somewhere. :(

I don't really know much about MP3 players... 256MB is decent; it'll hold about 50 songs, depending on the quality. Never heard of Visual Land before, either, and I usually don't trust brandnames that I've never heard of before. That doesn't mean it isn't good, though. :(
I recommend going to an actual store to buy one rather than getting something off eBay.

I'd like to meet the bookie that would take that bet.
He'll probably be called 'Gullible Norman'.
Fuck this is turning into an IM chat! Why the fuck are you not on MSN?

Unless your computer is ridiculously old it will have a USB port. Generic, no-name .mp3 players like that are alright - my friend has one and it does the job. Personally I'd save up for an iPod.

i have a cd/mp3 player and it is pretty good :lol
I also have a Nomad Jukebox and it is pretty good except for battery life >:
I also ALSO have a philips hdd100 which is kind of a piece of shit but maybe if they release better firmware or interface software it won't be so bad >:

WMA is like MP3s, but made by Microsoft for Media Player.

You skipped from tapes to mp3s? You totally missed the pleasure of doing lines of coke off of CD cases then. :(
