I just got a shut off notice from the city I live in. They say I haven't paid my water and sewer bills in four quarters, and they're going to shut off my water.

I paid them IN PERSON in December, which means the first quarter since then should be coming due this month.

Now I have to find the canceled check, take it to city hall and be late for work tomorrow.

Does stuff like this hppen to any of you, or is it just me?

I just got laid off because the owner of my store spent a crap load of money on a new sound system, and a higher up employe destroyed a ref. pastery case, and to pay for both they let me go because I'm the newest guy... I've never been let go ever, well from a job... I get dumped at leat 4 times a year ( wait...So far only twice, in 2003, and only once in 2004... Hey things are looking up for me!)
So the Job search begins for me!
I may go back to starbucks until I can find a good catering job, or chefing somewhere...

Actually it took me a moment to get your joke which is a sad statement about the state of my brain.

One and only as usual is stupid. The customer service I get from the private sector is just as bad, frequently worse and more of my bills have to do with them. I was able to fix it in only a couple of hours. YTry doing that with your credit rating some time. Oh, wait, you don't have to worry about your credit rating becuase you're a ten year old.
