LOL. Yeah, two reasons. The lisp, and he's almost completely deaf, and not being able to hear much would kinda gum up the works as far as dialogue is concerned.

Is that from Hercules or Sinbad?

I remember there was a scene in the Hercules movie where Lou was fighting a bear which was a real brown bear in half the shots and a skinny guy in a black bear costume in the other half. And then suddenly we cut to outer space where we see the bear come flying out of Earth's atmosphere. That movie was awesome.
