When you see a squirrel run across the street and almost get hit do you think he is saying to himself ? "Holy shit that was close!"

No, he's probably thinking "Holy shit! I'm a squirrel and I can think. I'm goin' on Oprah." It's called anthropomorphization and it's fine if you work for Disney but I think that you've been watching too many Geiko insurance commercials.
