I was just watching Tromeo and Juliette the other day, and it was such a hilarious movie. Plus there was a huge penis monster, a lot of gore, and a preist that likes little boys (pre-alter boys coming out and talking about their hilarious shennanigans with their "fathers")

MY FAVORITES

Cannibal the Musical
This movie has an Attack of the Killer tomatoes kind of feeling to it that is just magical :( I showed it in class once and everybody HATED it, probably because they were expecting it to be like South Park. The Audio commentary on the DVD is one of the funniest Audio Commentaries ever :(

Cannibal isn't really a Troma film, they just distributed it. It's awesome, though.

I love the dream sequence in Tromeo & Juliet when (SPOILER) Juliet suddenly turns pregnant, her stomach splits in half to reveal lots of popcorn, and Tromeo goes from being freaked and grossed out to enthusiastically eating the popcorn.

Is Sgt Kabukiman NYPD any good? I got it out of Netflix a year ago and had to send it back because I never got time to watch it.

Cannibal IS a troma film. The reason you watch a troma film is because you are looking for a certain kind of quality. A Troma film isn't defined by WHO made it, it's defined by it's weird, cheap, funny, fucked-up quality. I think most fans of Troma films understand that Lloyd Kaufman makes films, and he also distributes other films. But they are ALL Troma films. That's why some hip video stores will have Troma sections.

When you say you're looking for a Troma movie, you immediately know what kind of movie you're gonna be getting. It's probably the only film comapny today besides Disney that has that. That's what makes a Troma movie a Troma movie.

And yeah, Sgt. Kabukiman isn't very good. The trailer for it rules, though.

The review I wrote for Tromeo and Juliet made the movie spotlight on the main site awhile back :)

I hated Terror Firmer! It took me two sittings to actually watch it. When I actually sat back down and watched the second half, the ending was alright, and sort of redeemed itself. But I will never watch that movie again.

I have the special edition on DVD and wish I didn't. I don't know why I didn't like it, but I didn't. Didn't didn't.
