It's a little thi ng... my cat was going to kill it. Now we're trying to feed it and keep it alive. HOW DO YOU KEEP TINY BIRDS ALIVE?

first you need to identify the species to know what to feed it - insects or seeds. Then a bird will die if left too many hours without eating. at the begining water + honey is great when they're too scared to eat.
But then most of the time they die, anyway.

I saved a duck and it's chicks today :/ the mother was stuck behind a chain link fence and the babies where on the other side so I grabbed it by the neck and threw it over :)

I demand pictures! :o
And if you're worried about the health of the bird, take it to the vet.

Kind like how you grab you wife by the neck and throw her down the stairs?

Make sure you keep it in a large closed box (like a cardboard moving box). It will relax in the dark and if the box is big enough it won't freak out from claustrophobia.
Check to see if there is a Wildlife Rescue place nearby. That's where we always take scared or injured birds.

my grandma gave the bird to my crazy aunt :O Stupid family. I'll get a picture if i can still... it's tiny, and brown, and has little striped feathers. He's so tiny though... can't even fly yet... just hops around.

Just watch Pet Detective 2, where Jim Carrey is regurgitating into the little bird mouth. Hungry, fella?
You also need to give it a name!

If it looks like this, then it's a sparrow. And yes, some sparrows do live in the mountains.
Does it make any noise? If so, describe it's call and I might be able to help pin down what species it is. Telling me what state you live in will help too.

It's a sparrow! We already decided that... but my crazy aunt killed it.. it's dead, poor bird. WHY WOULD YOU GIVE AN ANIMAL TO A CRAZY PERSON? My family's fucking stupid.
