i grew a beard. a grizzly adams beard.
i tried to have the beard and just be one of those guys who has a beard and looks ok with it. it turns out i'm not quite a 'beard guy.' i look like a supporting actor in a gay porno about diner busboys. (possible title: 'sugar packets' or 'sweet and low.')

a beard. a dark, unattractive friend. most people question it, as if i don't have the freedom to experiment with my looks. i have to say something like, 'hey, check out the beard. PRETTY ridiculous, huh? yeah, it's an experiment. i'm just gonna have it for a little while. i know it looks bad.'
