I always wonder about that error report shit if someone's actually reading them. I bet those either never reach anyone or they're piling up somewhere in an office full of people angry at Microsoft.

am I right

guys

I get replies to my error reports, usually along the lines of "your computer is shit & you shouldn't of done what you did". :(

It's a computer that looks at the error reports and files them. Microsoft only deals with the most common ones, and even then, only the ones pertaining to a Microsoft product.

99% of the time, it's the program that's running that causes the error, not Windows.

if you don't open things, they can't close. I recommend that.

If all else fails, re-load windows (format your hard drive). Tough luck.

it's neither a virus nor adware and it's really really annoying

ok, so i'm pretty sure this is a hardware problem somehow because i completely formatted my harddrive and reinstalled windows and it's still happening.

does anyone have any idea what could be doing this?

Well if it was anything it would proably be a RAM related problem. If you have more than one RAM module try using only a single one. Try each one in turn and if there it stops the progs from crashing you have faulty ram.

Take the side off your PC and look if you have more than one ram module. If so then take one out and boot the computer up then see if programs still crash all the time. If they do put the module you took out back in and take the other one out then boot up again and check if everythign still crashes. if it does then you ram is not at fault if it stops stuff from crashing then the other ram is faulty and needs replaceing.

Are you completely sure it is not a virus though?
