he came out as a mistake (not the only time he's heard that, i'm sure). i looked at it for 5 minutes and thought, "wow, it looks like that guy at the end of Raiders of the Lost Ark."

Protocat (Felis protocus)

The protocat is a rare, shy creature that is rarely seen in the wild. It's main habitats are Farscape conventions and tabletop roleplaying games. Males can be identified by their distinctive red fur. Sadly, protocats are critically endangered because it is very difficult for them to find females of their species, as such females are hunted very heavily. A field observer might get the opportunity to see one by repeatedly calling out, "Hey, who here likes the Lord of the Rings?" If the observer is patient, a protocat may approach out of curiousity. If one is careful not to spook it, it can be lured into a cage and captured for the captive breeding program.
