35 years of internet?

That's what they said on the radio today. I'm 38 and don't remember any internet that was of any use back then. The radio show also said that the internet could be blamed for a higher divorce rate because of the online chatrooms. Chatrooms are full of retards, so if someone is stupid enough to meet up with a guy in a parking lot that asks you to get in his van then tough luck. I didn't start using the internet until I was atleast 30 and really if I was a kid and had missed all the fun of being out with my friends enjoying breathing fresh air and drugs (don't do drugs) it would have sucked. I can't search around anymore because I might get spam or a spy thing or viagra pop-up. Fuck the internet :)

the internet was used for military and scientific purposes before moving onto universities and eventualy home pcs. (as far as i remember from school)

it internet is a pretty hip place, but i hope one day there will be a way to purge all the crap from it so it is more useable (but then it wouldnt be as fun)
