I got Pikmin 2 also. The graphics have pretty much stayed the same with some enhanced visuals for water and dust. We do get the CG cutscenese thou which is nice. It's a great game overall. I just got the yellow Pikmin and now working on getting the blue ones. The Multiplayer Battle is also very fun. Havn't unlocked 2 player challenge mode yet thou :(.

I absolutely looooved the first one. But I spent all of my money on Silent Hill 4 this week, so I gotta wait to buy Pikmin2.

So how exactly do you go about getting the purple and white ones? Do they have thier own onions, or do you put them through some sort of evolution/sacrifice of other pikmin thing?

No. I new concept is introduced in 2: Transforming flowers. There's flowers that come in different colors. The first one you find is a purple one. All you do is throw a pikmin that's a different color, and the flower will spit back out a pikmin seed of the flowers color (though if you put a flower pikmin it, it'll still com out as a leaf). There, purple, white, blue, red, yellow, and a polka-dotted one that changes color.

If I am correct, I think the main differences are 2 new Pikmin, a purplr hulk and a poison white one. And there is also a two player mode. I didn't know about the polka-dot one though. Sounds fun, when I finish FF6 I'll buy it.

FF6 came out nearly a decade ago. If you're still not finished with it, stop playing.

The polka dot one is just for the original pikmin. The dots change color from red/yellow/blue. you toss one in there and 9 pikmin of the color that it landed in pop out.

Sublevel 10 of the Dream Den (last place) almost made me break my gamecube in rage. >:
