i was thinking of starting a baby pool thing where you all give a dollar via paypal to guess the birthdate, weight and maybe length of my kid. i'd split the pot with the person who came closest all around.

you could guess more than once, but each guess will cost ya. i'll give approximates based on what i know, like when my due date is and how much weight i have gained.

anyone up for it, or am i being a totally queer mommy head who should just shut up about being pregnant already?

my official due date is march 28, 2005.

i will totally use this money to purchase something for the child, even if it only amounts to enough for a package of diapers. every little bit will help.

side bets are encouraged, but i'm not sure how i can award them if they end up correct and i can't guarantee that i won't blame you forever if my child ends up with one of your strange predictions.

i will be finding out the sex of the baby in advance (november 5!!), so i can either include that bit of information to aid you in your guesses or i can hide it from all of you and you can try to guess that too.

I absolutely can't make logical estimate about stuff like this (or anything dealing with length, size or weight, for that matter), but I'll just poll my parents on my own stats as a baby and bet on those.

only 5% of babies are born on their due dates. some say that first time moms go early, some say they go late. i figure if i give you how much weight i've gained, you can maybe deduce how much of that is baby and how much of it is boob, blood, placenta and just plain old fat.

i dunno how to determine length. i can tell you how tall i am and how tall bri is: me being ALMOST 5'5" and brian being 5'8". we're shorties...having a shorty...oh haha.

anyways, i'm gonna set this thing up. i think i read somewhere that there's an online service that does all of this stuff for you, but i'm not sure. i'll go look now.

Given both of your heights, I would say that "she" will be around 5 lbs, 15 ounces and 18 inches long. Your due date is the 23rd of March (it's early and I haven't scrolled back to reread it)? I'll say that given it's your first and assuming your pretty active, "she" will arrive at 5:00 am on March 30th.

(I know you didn't ask about the sex or weight but they always do at the baby shower games) :)

Two short people dont neccessarily(sp?) have a short kid. My mate is about 6'3 and his parent are 5'7 and 5'2. He used to threaten to beat up his dad cause he was taller then him at 13...
