Another spook-o-licious grab bag piece by Max Burbank, this time he reminisces about some of his most impressive Halloween costumes over the years.

My concern is that this is all true, and what that does to a man.
Good piece, Max. I'm gonna... stand over here now.

Thanks. While this piece is more autobiographical than most of my work, a lot of it is made up. Well, some of it. I'm sure as hell not saying what.

that really took me back...especially the home made super hero costume. I once made a costume entirely out of pieces of costumes I shop lifted from our local Roses department store...it was hideous.....but I had an entire pillow case full of candy that lasted well past christmas....

That was really funny.
Why on earth did you go as snoopy? Why didn't you just go as a pilot?

I am old enough that the Charlie Brown Halloween episode was fairly new, and I loved it. Pilot, schmilot, I wanted to be Snoopy flying his doghouse. I just wasn't that good at it. I think I had black felt floppy ears bobbypinned to my head as well as the nose, which was actually half a ping pong ball painted black, but while that section is mostly true, facts are altered with poetic licsence.

Okay. I can accept that.
I bet that the dressing up as a girl part is fake. Nobody would ever do that.
