Going to drink is stupid. Drinking is the only true philosophy that I follow.
On this glorious day that is Saint Patrick's birthday where he freed the snakes. :)

That is the most authentic realisation of Irish speech and character I have ever witnessed.

DID YOU KNOW:
Saint Patrick's Day was originally called Saints Alive Day. The holiday was originally created to celebrate those who had achieved Sainthood in the Catholic church, and passed away. It wasn't until after the Irish-English War that the holiday was changed to Saint Patrick's Day, when the Irish government renounced Catholicism. And then, it wasn't until 1967 - nearly 30 years later - that Saint Patrick's Day was officially recognized as the new official holiday name.

I was at a friend's party a few years back. Nobody there except me had ever tried the glorious drink that is the Irish Car Bomb. I was forced to demonstrate the proper method of drinking one about half a dozen times to various people. I pride myself on draining the entire glass every time. That coupled with the other drinks I had that evening made for a night of pukey fun! :puke
And I had to work this St. Patty's Day and I'm going to demand holiday pay for it >:

Only those of mixed irish decent do that. They need to show off for even the smallest drop of irish blood within them. (I do it also :( being only 1/16th Irish)
Pure Irish just raise a salute, and tip back a glass of perfectly normal colored beer. Well... that how it starts with the Irish guys/gals I know, and then things go crazy.

I drank a Guiness....and two Dead Guy Ales...and thanked the fates that I'm not Irish.
