Unfortunately, a turn for the worse has left my relationship ragged, and my partner wants to abstain for a while. On average, how long does an average relationship last after the point of "sex, and then none at all"?

Depends on if it was based on sex or not.

It's an equation between the reason for wanting abstinence, and how serious and long the relationship's been so far.

Just make sure she's abstaining period, and not just with you.

:/ Maybe she wants to appreciate sex again, or is trying to get you to make an effort and be romantic without that being the ultimate goal.

She's probably trying to figure out if that's all you were interested in.

Exactly.

So get her some pretty flowers and take her out for a romantic picnic.

shut the fuck up

the only thing that irritates me is the fucking smiley after abstinence. it takes away from it's power. you have to say it like you mean it dammit not with downcast eyes and shit

in the words of aristotle: "take it like a man."

also in the words of aristotle: " stick a cock in your face, post-modernist corpse asshole." (Organon, p. 76)

I first became aware of it, Mandrake, during the physical act of love...Yes, a profound sense of fatigue, a feeling of emptiness followed. Luckily I was able to interpret these feelings correctly. Loss of essence. I can assure you it has not recurred, Mandrake. Women...women sense my power, and they seek the life essence. I do not avoid women, Mandrake...but I do deny them my essence.
