View Full Version : GOING TO SAN DIEGO SOON! HUZZAH!
Jul 12th, 2005, 06:44 PM
I'll be in San Diego starting tomorrow afternoon for the big 2005 Comic-Con... hope some of you can make it out there. I've got some great freebies to give out to those of you who bump into me. Gonna be meeting up with a bunch of other people that run sites 'n what not too so that's gonna be a blast. Re's gonna be with me too, and in case ya haven't seen, she now has two comic books (http://www.strangepuppets.com/store_books.asp) up for sale :o Well, one's a comic, the other is a bizarre story with some crazy art.
Anyway, I'll be updating the site every day with new photos from the Comic-Con if I can, so be sure to check it out! Hope at least some of you West Coast mockers will bring your lazy asses out to the convention! Remember, if you don't meet me, your life will never be complete. NEVER.
I-MOCKERY AT THE 2005 SAN DIEGO COMIC-CON!

GOD DAMNIT! f you do this again, I want to go "On assignment". I cannot pay my way, that would be grossly unprofessional and ruin the whole "On assignment" aspect. Also, like I have the money or my wife would let me use our money for that.
Nor would I expect RoG to pay my way on account of like he has that kind of green to burn and he already puts fucking BLOOD into this craphole. No offense, Rog.
That leaves you bastards. As soon as Rog gets back, we need to post a Send Max on assignment fund. I will even send things like drawings and 'personal items' to people mking serious donations.
I am not kidding about this and despite what you may think I AM A PROFESSIONAL WRITER and sometimes I make some serious cash doing it too so you OWE it to me to SEND ME ON ASSIGNMENT FOR I-MOCKERY.
Oh.Uhmn. have a really great time Rog. If William Shatner is there, though, I will fucking kill you. Or Lucy Lawless.

Have a good time, you fucking bastards. I wish I could go along!
Jul 12th, 2005, 09:29 PM

It's a pretty crazy venue. Only once was I surrounded by more nerds, and that was... Wait, no. ComicCon was the most I have ever seen in one place. It did wonders for my esteem. Knowing that I could bag any given chick in the place? Not like I would... but knowing I COULD!
And nerds scatter around like little weasels. Most even resemble them with their bad facial hair and pointy teeth. Do weasels wear back packs and smell like syrup?

I went to a sci-fi writers convention that was even more of a nerd fest than a comic book convention.

Any interesting anecdotes?

Ok, so my hotel has a WiFi connection and it's workin with this laptop, so color me happy. Goddamn, San Diego is fucking nice so far. I'll be posting some photos I took today on the I-Mockery Comic-Con page as soon as I can, so be sure to check it out. We got into the "pre-show" tonight, so there were slightly less hordes of geeks... and plenty of bastards who were buying up every toy in sight so they could sell them for insanely high prices on eBay.
Anyway, time to go import some photos from the camera. More updates from our San Diego trip to come each night. Woo hah!

Boogie flexing his mighty banhammer in my absense. Good times!
Anyway, it worked! I successfully updated the Comic-Con page. Hooray for technology that works! Hope you guys enjoy the pics I've been able to post before falling asleep.

Try to find the Mega64 Booth, while you're there. They're selling exclusive DVDs for cheap, and showing off clips from Mega64: Version 2.0. You won't be disappointed.
OR ELSE. >:

Goddamn, it's like 1am here now and they finally got the stupid wireless network back up. I'm gonna try to post a few pics from today's events, but I'm really tired, so as I stated before... most of the pics from the con will most likely get put into a piece when I get back in town. Anyway, time to go do some excrutiatingly slow Photoshop & HTML shit on this laptop for a quick site update :o
Jul 15th, 2005, 07:03 AM
Woo hah, the Comic-Con page has been updated with a few more pics 'n stories! Enjoy!

Looks like the board crashed today, but I was able to repair the database remotely.
Anyway, I've updated the Comic-Con page with some more daily info and pics. Woo hah!

Oh, and Rog...I just saw your thing about meeting the creator of He-Man on Friday...that's interesting because there was an article in the latest issue of ToyFare with the "creator" of He-Man and it's some guy named Roger Sweet, and he claims that a bunch of other people try to take credit for it but HE'S the real creator, and he's got the documents to prove it and he wrote a book and blah blah blah. I think this is really funny because it obviously means that one of these two guys is a delusional liar whose big made-up story to impress the ladies is that he created something as gay as He-Man. hahaha It's probably the guy from ToyFare who's full of it, he looks kind of insane.
Jul 17th, 2005, 01:48 PM
When he holds up that book and screams "I HAVE THE POWERRRRRR!" he turns into the guy Rog saw at Comicon.
Jul 17th, 2005, 04:18 PM
[b]I[/i] created He-Man. God is with me on this.
