Those were like the only candies I knew of that could be used as a projectile weapon and a tasty treat that would last more than two minutes. So disappointed.

I remember my first Halloween after seeing Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (that's the first one... the good one) and getting my first little box of Everlasting Gobstoppers. Two dissapointments soon struck my fragile, child psyche:
1. They weren't cool and angular-looking.
2. They so did not last forever.

Yeah, it was a fine movie on its own, but it just missed something that the original had. It might have been the original's army of midgets as opposed to the new one's multiplied Deep Ray. Yeah... that must be it.
