the other day, we asked my twelve-year-old, ryan, if he'd taken his allergy meds yet. kevin wondered aloud whether he really needed them or not.
"me, without allergy medicine?" ryan replied with a smirk. "a nuclear snot bomb." :O
allergies seem to be prevalent in this area of the country. just about everyone i know here in southern virginia has regularly stuffy noses and sinus problems. my sinuses are a veritable barometer. one ent said it was all due to being on the atlantic coast, even though we're about four hours away from the nearest beach.
when i moved to oklahoma for my freshman year of college, i spent about a week in sinus hell. i had to leave classes many times to blow my nose in the hall. :( after that, though, i was freely breathing -- until i drove back into virginia. and then it was back to the same.
i'm wondering if it's this way all over. have you, too, been plagued?
