Have any of you tried Beamish Stout? I drank it all the time in Europe, but now I've found it here in Bloomington. It's basically a Guiness knock-off, but I think it's a bit better. Very good stuff.

Fine. A Guinness knock-off.
Or am I missing something?

Just that Guinness have such a good PR dept that all Darks, Porters, & Stouts have to be compared to them. Despite Guinness being rather mediocre. :(

True, but a 18th century foundation certainly dictates that it's meritted.

Beamish's site claims their brewery goes back longer. :lol
I don't care about either as I drink my McDuffs. >:

in the early days of man, it is suspected that beer was first discovered when grain left to steep in rainwater fermented in the sun.
even today the taste of guinness is a testament to this theory....

Despite the Noblesville, Indiana thing in your location, I can never figure out quite the fuck where you live. :x

I go to school in Bloomington now, since I got kicked out of Chicago. So, yeah. It's Bloomington, IN, since half the states have a town by that name.
