i just downloaded it off bittorrent. great movie... well sorta.

I havn't played FF7 :'(
so as impressive as it looks... I don't get it and it's many refrences about Jenova and Blargh... does anyone know where I can read on the internet the complete story of the FF7 game?

Just play the game, I'm sure you can pick it up at your local game store for like, 5 bucks. It's pretty long but I assure you, it's worth it.

Its a shame aeris didn't have as large a part, her character looked the best. It was strange to see Cait Sith since he sucked and was generally useless, in both the film and the game. Coupled with the fact that he wasn't riding a giant moogle.

It was pretty good, but my two main problems with it is that no-one really got hurt in the fight scenes, ever, and there was a big DBZ fight syndrome going on with increasing frequency as the film progressed.

I thought it sucked quite a bit. It was ok, but it relyed to much on trying to milk emotion from Aerith's death in the game - no one should really care all that much by this point. It wasn't a problem that it used it, it as just that it didn't seem to develop anything new. Also, it was just fight scene after fight scene. With the FF games you develop a story over 60 to 80 hours, but this didn't have that luxury. So we ended up watching the fights instead of playing then and then watching intermittent cut scenes. Not enough to hold my interest. Also, I hate how they brought back every single character. They should have just focused on 4 or 5 of the characters, instead of bring back useless characters like Cid and Yuffie. Yes, people may be fond of them, but their characters added little, if nothing, to the story being told. Disappointing picture.

Cid wasn't useless. If you dindn't have cid they wouldn't have the highwind. and without the highwind they wouldn't be able to have gotten to the north cave.

Edit: Also, what Chojin said about no one ever getting hurt in the fight scenes. Cloud gets shot in the face from about 2 feet away, and the result is that his goggles are knocked off. At that point, I just assumed that their fancy guns were firing really puny bullets, and that's why they were being deflected so easily.

there was no time travel but if you payed any attention to vincents side story he was the original head of the TURKS then he died and was posessed by a demon that brought him back to life as Vincent.
