For comic book based movies, they're surprisingly bearable. I think this is where the batman series went wrong, starting with the arch villain, and progressively getting less known villains for him to duel. Venom was unavoidable in one of them and fairly awesome in terms of being a badass villian, but I fear they’ll just milk this series for the next decade. Oh nevermind, that's already being done.

Topher Grace as venom? Fuck that. He's a little runt...Isn't Eddie Brock the jock type?

Remember how big Toby had to get to play Spidey? Yeah, I'm sure they are going to do the same with Topher. Plus, he's gonna be covered in CG Goo for most of the movie, anyways.

I'll believe this when a smart person from the cast or crew tells it. Kirsten Dunst is a stupid cunt.

My brother told me that they were switching the Venom character up a bit and he was supposed to be like a "mirror image" of Peter Parker. I dunno what all that means.. but I trust him with things like this.

Dunst Blows Spidey 3 Villains

I thought this meant she was blowing the villains.

Interview slip, or pre-release hype? :rolleyes

Regardless, having Sandman AND Venom in the same movie is just too much. Haven't they learned anything from Batman and Robin? Throwing in too many super villains just makes for a shit movie where none of the characters are properly developed. They're obviously going to throw the original character origins out the window, but even at that the character development will be paper thin. I can see it now: 2 minute scene of some scientist playing around with genetically altered sand (because radioactive is so out) and well Venom...? he just fell from space.

The last paragraph of that article sums it up:

Although she hasn't read the script yet for Spider-Man 3 , which begins filming in January, Dunst said, "I know the general story. ... There's a lot that they're trying to fit into this one."

What happened to all the rumors that the Spcial Effects guys were already starting work on the costumes.

Toby was ripped, yeah, but eddie brock/venom is fucking big too. Spiderman's always been extremely toned and in great shape but venom's always been like spiderman on steroids.

Only way it could make sense is if the mirror spiderman thing is true.

well Osborne is still in it so I'd imagine his version of green goblin will develop in 3... I liked the first two, so I guess I'll just have to have faith, casting was great in the first two.

Well since Stan the man Lee said that 2 was the best comic book movie he could have ever made... Does that mean it will only go down hill from here?

Hells no.
If My memory serves correct he was created during the infinity wars.

His biggest role to my knowlege was in the Maximum Carnage Story ark. Alonside Carnage, shreik, and Demogoblin

That would be awesome if hrough some crazy twists Harry Became Demogoblin. Thats what happened to the 2nd Hobgoblin If I'm not mistaken.

Yep, Doppy came from the Infinity Wars, when Thanos(?) created evil twins of everyone fighting.

I love Toby, but that has nothing to do with the movie. Venom will not be as good as i want, but i think he will still be kind of cool. If i had it my way, the entire movie would be based on Tobey fucking Kirsten Dunst.

If Topher is any good at being Venom (An I highly doubt it) I think they should do a spinoff series that follows the "Separation anxiety" ark or at least roughly. Because as most know they Symbyotes are the shit.

I could easily be wrong...but I thought harry became the second green goblin and hobgoblin(s) is someone else entirely.

Jason Phillip Macendale (The third Hobgoblin) became Demogoblin for a time during the "Inferno" storyline, until the demon he was bonded with got fed up with him and seperated from Macendale, becoming the entity Demogoblin. However, Demogoblin is now dead.

Doppelganger was created during the Infinity Wars by Adam Warlock's evil self, Magus, along with doppelgangers of nearly every other Marvel Hero. He devoloped some sort of bond with Demogoblin that allowed him to remain on Earth after the Infinity Wars. His biggest role was, indeed, during "Maximum Carnage" and he has not been seen since, as Carnage gutted him.

Harry Osborn was only the second Green Goblin, and like his father, fell in battle. Unlike his father, he is still dead.

The Hobgoblins were some lackey, Ned Leeds (though he was under mind control), Jason Phillip Macendale, and Robert Kingsley.

If they put Carnage in a movie I will be pissed if that film is anything less than an R rating. Because from all the comics ive read with carnage, his main goal is slaughtering folks and fighting Venom and spidey.

:O that would be the shit if Spidey and Venom teamed up and beat the hell out of carnage, or vice versa as is the most likeley case.

It depends on which Venom we're talking about. If it's original "Kill Spider-Man and anyone who gets in the way of that goal" then it would be Venom and Carnage VS Spider-Man.

If it's "Spider-Man isn't so bad, look, I'm trying to be a hero but I'll kill anyone who gets in the way of THAT" then it'll be Venom and Spider-Man Vs Carnage.

Well if the whole "mirror image" comes into play It'll most likely become a kind of Doppelganger (the Opposite character not THE Doppelganger) kind of show where Venom parades around doin evil deeds, making spidey look bad.

Fot spme reason I just cant stop thinking about Toby opening up his door with Topher standing there with a big grin on his face.

What would be really nifty is if Spidey has the black suit for about 3/4 of the movie. That way, if they do the "Venom Makes Spider-Man Look Bad" it'll make more sense.

EDIT: Also, I would like to see more Daily Bugle scenes, and I would like Spider-Man to wisecrack during his battles. You know, like he's supposed to.

I agree. The actor for J.J.J. is really good, and I wish he got more screen time :(
