Almost all the posts on this board are from anime fans about how we mockers are evil, and about how we will go to hell, or that we don't understand the art behind anime. I just felt like putting that out there for anybody who hasn't noticed. I don't know how you couldn't though.

No, that's just Clement and some other guys, and they brought it upon themselves. You don't defend anime in an anime-bashing forum.
I like anime, yes, but I do have some self-deprecation. There's something wrong with you if you can't poke fun at your intrests. I'm aware of the fact that most anime consists of a cliche plot with irritating protagonists that won't hit puberty for another 10 years. And I'm puzzled as to why hentai exists, as there is REAL porn out there, without tentacle rape and dickgirls.
Watch out for Brian Peppers.

Yes, yes, I don't mind you mocking anime anymore. Like I said, there are much greater evils in this world than anime bashers.

Took you a while, didn't it? I mean, after all those pointless threads and anime basher bashing (Which did nothing but fuel the younger members of this forum). Honestly, you could be doing hundreds of things, like SPORTS, or GETTING a GIRLFRIEND.

Sports are almost equal to anime.

I just like good cartoons in general, I can't help it if alot of them are Japanese. I enjoy the DDAAF greatly.
This doesn't change that we're all going to hell, though :(

Well there are definatley some exceptions involving anime but they are few and far between i.e. Akira, and Chars Counter Attack (fuck you its good) come to think of it those are the only ones worth anything because unlike EVERY other anime out there they arent 60 minute long stock footage clip show.
DDAAF is awesome but clament is still a brown round punching mouth fister.

I saw a movie called The Judge a long time ago, it was in the Anime form of animation but I don't think it counted as Anime cause it was pretty cool.

There are some Anime shows out there that transcend past normal Anime, but finding them is kinda hard :(

I like the ones that have kind of a dark storyline, like Monster or Paranoia Agent

tentacle rape and dickgirls.
I can't speak for the dickgirls... that's just plain human perversion, but the tentacles have a slightly better (not by much) reason for existing. The animators wanted to show acts of forced sex on women, but laws formerly would not allow the act to be done by humans. This was circumvented by the tentacle robo-monsters.

The fact that all anime is inhherantly identical in terms of plot, character, setting etc. Its a form of escapism. All the anime's on earth start with a little outcast wuss of a kid with 2-4 friends tops, hes hopeless with girls. Then the story taces a twist like a granny finding a parkingspot, in the form of the kid being either recruited or endowed with/into some sort of abilities, these give him confidence, and ultimateley kill him and what little he had. They shoot to their target audience thats like the kid they starded wiht in the show.
Case in point, Evangelion, Zeta Gundam, RahXephone, Guyver. Thats all I can name because After Raxhephon I wanted to kill myself.

The main character in Cowboy Bebop is a kid with special powers and 4 friends?! Lordy, that means the show I've been watching for years must have really been American or something.
Hey... What are those headligh-BAM!!!!!!!!!!
