To Copy the Shotgun thread.

I just purchased a Mosin Nagant 7.62 Rifle. The gun kicks more then any pitiful 12 guage shotgun. And, I have pictures. So I win the new gun threads.

I fired that teddy off the end of my rifle, and my friend Randy blasted it out of the sky with his shotgun.

The End of the Teddys. A .40 HK pistol and a .357 Magnum ended the lives of the bears. I even managed to gain me some flash burns from the magnum when I shot the White bear out of my hand.

Why the eye protection? You didn't want to be retarded to the point of absurdity? I fail to see where the line is drawn.

In the United States of America it is not just every citizen's right to own a firearm... it is our duty!

Seriously though, firearms in the hands of the people keep the government from getting too powerful. It also helps to prevent invasions.

It seems to me like Europe is on the verge of getting invaded by the Muslims.

I can't believe she's actually working with the Vatican now. What's the goddamn point? It's not like they have anything to offer each other.

There's some Italian woman who wrote a book called "La Forza della Ragione" (the force of reason). It basically says that Christianity as a religion sucks, but as a cultural benchmark it is what defines Europe. The point of the book is that Europe has lost touch with Christendom in allowing it to be inundated with Islam, and is thus spiraling into self-destruction and loss of autonomy.

Basically, she agrees that we should nuke the Middle East until it's the world's largest heap of glass.

Well, most hunting rifles are a bit more powerful and accurate then Military Automatics. Anyways, every American gun nut now days has a couple of Automatics tucked away. I'll be purchasing a semi-auto next.

David,
Can you please share some of your knowledge about guns?

The shotgun I got is my first gun. I was thinking about getting a rifle eventually and maybe a handgun one day.

My knowledge is limited to the mechanics of guns and the "aim away from self, pull trigger" mentality. But I'd like to know how to pick out a gun to suit one's needs and about the different kinds of ammo.

I know some about Guns, not as much as a gun nut though.

The 4 things I look for in gun buying:

How expensive is the gun.
How easy is it to maintain
How strong/accurate is the gun.
How much is the ammo.

The Gun I purchased has all 4 key points:
1. It is a cheap gun, only about 200 bucks.

2. It is a Russian Rifle, designed to withstand heavy elemental abuse. And it is a bolt action. It has few moving parts, so it can easily be cleaned.

3. The Rifle uses 7.62x54r rifle rounds. The AK-47 use 7.62x39 ammo, same sized bullet, less power though. The Nagant rifle is the Sniper Rifle the Russians used to combat the Germans during WW2 (enemy at the gates). You can easily attach a older style scope to it. (with newer scopes, you haev to modify the bolt.)

4.) The Ammo is also some of the cheapest Rifle ammo you can purchase. Only the AK-47 ammo is cheaper. 8 bucks will buy you 20 rounds. Or you can buy it online for 6 for 20.

Take your time, shop around. Never impulse buy with Guns. For older guns, look it over, make sure the action slides, and the sights ain't bent up. Check for metal fatigue.

For Handguns, go with a Revolver. Revolvers are fun, the .357 in the picture is a powerful gun, and with revolvers, you don't waste ammo as quickly as a Pistol. They are also 10 times easier to maintain then a pistol. And cheaper to purchase.

You squeeze the trigger. Never pull. Pulling implies a jerking of the weapon. Also, let out your breath just before squeezing at the end of that breath so as to eliminate the breathing factor. Always maintain a good cheek-to-stock weld and do NOT close one eye as you shoot. In the consideration of ballistics trajectory, aim lower at close targets (100 m or less), center mass at 200-250m targets and higher at tagets 300m or greater. More later.

Responsible citizens with guns rock. Everybody has the right to defend their family, home, and property. I'm planning on buying a handgun soon. Sheila says she'll feel safer having one around when I'm out working 24's. My good friend and former partner at work is a gun fanatic. His collection is extensive. Among his pieces you'll find an AK-47 (he calls Sparky), I believe an SKS, two SIGs, a Walther P99, and numerous others. If a riot ever breaks out, I'm heading straight to his house. He can't fire all those guns himself!

If you're looking for a reasonable gun, buy a Desert Eagle :lol

if a gun can kill a deer or a duck, it can kill a human too. it doesnt have to be full-auto to be useful.

also if you are looking for a good hand gun Id go with springfiedls XD series. They are kinda like glocks, but better in my opinion. Its easier to handle, and not so blocky, which is one of the things i dont like about glocks. it also has a grip safty that isnt a pain in the ass.

I also think it might be cheaper than a glock, or atleast it was. I got one back when it was a Hs 2000 and was around $350-400, its since been bought by springfield and called XD.

it comes in 9mm, .40, and .357, i thought they made one in .45, but from what i'v heard it was droped in the switch from hs 2000 to xd. or mayby there never was one.
I suggest the .40, but you might want a 9mm if you are new to firearms. I think you could get used to .40 right off the bat though. I started on 40 and Iv never liked 9mm. but if you guys are shoting shotguns and rifles you should be fine with .40.

and for ammo I suggest wolf ammunition. Its cheap cheap stuff but it pretty clean and good quality. its the best ammo you can get unless you reload your own.

You simpering idiot. They had rifles at Ruby Ridge and Waco. Did them a lot of fucking good against military sieges.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not particularly anti-gun, but the notion that "our right to bear arms keeps our government from getting too powerful" is as quaint as a powdered fuckin wig.

Lye
Nov 22nd, 2005, 12:08 PM
ruby ridge was a family of hillbillies, and waco was just a bunch of loser that didn't know how to use their firearms.
I understand why it might seem stupid to try to go against the military with guns that are made simply for hunting.
But if you think about it, if for whatever reason people felt a need to defend themselvs from the government, or some other invading army or something, these said people could band together. I'm pretty sure there would be a lot of people. I also think that some of the military troops would not want to fire on their own conutry men, if they were in a bigger group then what happend at ruby ridge. i dont think our right to bear arms keeps our government from getting too powerful, but i think if something like this every happend, any rebels would have a better chance then you might think.

Psh, if our boys can level Fallujah in a month, they could wipe out some anti-America faggoty gun club in an hour, and then light their cigars on the hot embers of the rebel's base.

Now if you wanted to really have a capable standing militia, as the 2nd amendment states, you'd have some sort of national service program at the end of which every citizen got their own weapon like the Swiss do.

Recommendations:

Handguns: A 1911 or a 1911 hi cap spin off (something about 10 .45 rds)

Luger P08: Beautiful gun, light weight, nice sound, very accurate, never jams.

Revolver: Llama Comanche .357 Cheap and superb ( i don't recommend a .44 because the kickback implies less shots per minute plus the fadding factor) Note: Fadding means a mixture between Tireness plus fear of recoil.

Shotgun: Benelli SPAS or any SPAS based model.

Bolt rifle: Mauser K-98 HUGE ammo, bloodfreezing cocksound Superb sharpshoter GREAT quality.

Auto rifle: CETME Sportster : Bargain price, army rugged, powerful ammo .308 NATO. can use 30Rnd Mags, integrated bipod, scope mounts, bayonet mount (FR-8 Spanish) Snipper's choice. Style similar H&K G3 (in fact, the H&K is a copy of the CETME)

Similar to this is the M14 but this in woodstock.

7.62x39 is a larger calibre than nost Moder military infantry weapons. they use 5.56mm. So the hunting rifle could easily kill any soldier.
