short and punk rock!
doopa
Jan 10th, 2006, 09:46 AM
hmn I dunno tough call
I chopped all mine off early last year. It's good cuz it's so easy to take care of, and you can go without showering for even longer than normal. But I missed the long hair and have been slowly and painfully been trying to grow it back. And that SUCKS bigtime.
If you won't miss it then chop it off. But if you might miss it..... you're going to have a long wait!

Jan 10th, 2006, 10:24 AM
doopa! you snuck in there! my hair grows super fast, so if i wanted it long again, i could do it. the other reason why i'm considering chopping it off is that my kid likes my hair and pulls on it constantly. if i chop it, when he pulls on it, it won't hurt as bad.
plus the shower thing. lord knows that it's not easy for me to get a shower in every day around here.
ziggy: mr. glowbelly doesn't care. he would prefer that i didn't go blonde, just because he's not a big fan of blondes, but if i did he would still be a big fan of me :D
lunlun: thank you :) i will tally your vote.

in that case, red & short looks very nice. blonde and short looks nice on ya too, in my opinion. not so much the black. eh, so my vote is short and natural. :)

i'd say you're lucky enough to be able to cary off all the hair colours. i think i liked the red best but you could go a lot brighter. you have great cheekbones and the short hair really shows them off :)

if you're looking for a STRIKING look then go for the blonde and short -totally. this is for if you still manage to have a social life while raising your kid at this time. this will give people the appearance that you don't tire as easily!
now, if you're going to be at home a bunch and just would like something that was more natural and suave i'd go for short and red -totally.
<3 -mle
EDIT: ps- the hair color doesn't matter as much as long as it's not black. that makes you look super whiny goth :<
go for the same hairstyleish, though i'd recommend going a lil shorter in the back than usual because it's more fun to style, but keep the front just long enough that it won't hurt too much when cub pulls on it.
the haircut itself is mainly what looks good. if you're having a huge problem deciding between blonde and red, i'd definetly go for blonde first, because you can't go from red to anything, really (except darker like dark brown and black). red dye is a huge pain to get out, so don't get it unless you're certain ;>
glowbelly
Jan 13th, 2006, 08:18 AM
nice advice, lady :D
i think i might just get it cut short and keep the color i have now. it's faded a lot, but i have another box of dye and it's a nice warm brown. then i can decide on a brighter color for the spring. the only reason why i'm not too keen on the blonde is because of it's maintenance. i hate having to do touch-ups every 6 weeks.

I'm terrified, really....
Now, Karen, if I had to choose from the short hair, I'd go with red first, blonde second.
I still like it long better, but that's for all girls in general. I just love long hair.
There's only one person you really need to like it, though. What does he think?

Karen, honey, as always i fully endorse whatever you feel most comfortable with. As for my own opinion, i suggest cutting it short...you always did wear short hair better than almost anyone i've ever met, color notwithstanding. The blonde is striking and gives you an opportunity to teach Mr. Glowbelly that blonde can be amazing. If he'll love you regardless, and i know he will, you should offer him the opportunity to expand his horizons.

now stop being a boner and trying to get the last word in. you've voiced your big queer opinions about hairstyling. quit allowing eric to make you look like an ass by baiting you...it's an insult to VLPs (i can't even type it with a straight face) everywhere.
