I know this is probably the worst place to write something like this because I'm going to get people laughing at me and stuff but I've had this sore on my wrist for several months and its grown bigger and despite spending hours trapsing through the massive dermitology website I couldn't find what it was.

Today I just bit the bullet and sadly I now know what it possibly is. I think I have a form of skin cancer. Well possibly two because I've started getting sores on my forehead and elsewhere that are not like typical spots and I've found pictures that look indentical to what I have. Sometimes I hate the internet.

Time to go back to the doctor. :( Yes I did go in december but the stuff she gave me didn't work and she didn't know what it was anyway.

Oh yes just to clear up any misunderstanding I am not a skanky homeless person. I have a shower everyday and do the whole cleanse, moisturise milarky so its not me being dirty. :(

The curse of I-mockery continues :chatter

Who will be next

On a more serious note. Recently my girlfriend has been getting small sores on her legs and arms and it turned out she was allergic to dairy products. Probably completly different to what you have but it might be worth making sure its not just an alergic reaction to something. :/

:/ what do you mean by that?

Someone would have to be pretty ignorant to think "only dirty people get cancer." Sores doesn't sound like cancer though. Cancer is bumps. Maybe you've got the plague?

But I hope it's just some allergic reaction they can fix right up!!

There was a period about 8 months ago or something where about 2 or 3 i-mockey members had cancer or other more benine tumors. Could have been more actually, now that i think about it.

:( I have fair skin and freckles so chances are high anyway. My sores are redish and little orangish bumps (the latter look different and are on my forehead and nose). To be honest I haven't been feeling too good for a long time, maybe its just a reaction to stress or to something I've been eating or drinking. Maybe its brought on by my recent situation - on/off "boyfriend" ditching me for younger model after five years. The possibilities are endless...

My aunt had skin cancer several years ago and had a mole removed in her leg. My family were pretty dismissive of it all. I am not a sun worshipper, but due to living near the sea I spend alot of time there. It seems strange I get all this in winter time, although the sore on my wrist I've had over six months. :(

You should see doctors rather than self-diagnosing on the Internet. :(

:) I went to the doctor and I'm not dying!

He gave me some stuff and it seems to be working but its still early days. He says it should be gone in two weeks and that he's seen alot worse.

>: Don't I feel a fecking idiot now. haha :)

This reminds me of that time when I thought my testicles were tied up. Boy was that scary.

Seriously, it was painful.

Slinky are you red headed? Cuz I am and I get all kind of skin problems...stomach problems, as well...ah the curse of the red hair...

But I haven't been experiencing much skin problems because I've been extremely happy lately...and happiness does wonder for your skin! :)

yeesh, an emotional journey in one small thread!

If you ever start reading about symptoms for diseases you can convince yourself you have just about everything.

I'm not really a red head but some of my hair actually is red but most of it is a golden brown type colour. I asked the doc if I could be getting all this due to stress and he said it may have initially started through stress.

I'm under alot of stress at the moment, final year and insane assignments not to mention my personal life has gone haywire, my on/off boyfriend of five years is screwing a dog of a girl and so its been a bit of a struggle for me to re-adjust but I'm coping fine now. Maybe this is all psychological!

Jeff, I'm sorry that you never met your grandpa. Sounds like he was a pretty special person or you wouldn't have been named after him. :)

Some grandparents are such amazing people, you don't really appreciate them until they're no longer around. Of course there are some people who want theirs dead, but thats their problem!!! I wish my grandparents were still around, especially to see what I've finally achieved.

live, die, whats one less brit?

actually i can sympathize a little, i have this knot on my forearme that kept getting bigger or smaller depending on the day and hurt a lot. i was really afraid it was cancer, then i found out it was a cyst.

i am glad you are doing ok, but i would have really dug it if you could have posted naked pictures of yourself once you were rotting away with cancer.

skinny chicks are hot.

and my wife left me for a half deaf dude that has seizures and dizzy spells and lives with his parents, and has no real job, and he plays bass in gay ass alt rock band. a fucking bassist for god sake.
