This is the first time I've spent more than $1,000.00 on something.

I'm so fucking happy, I haven't had a car in like four weeks and I'm sick of nagging everyone for rides and being stuck places and god I can't wait.


Book value is $6155, I'm paying $4400. It seems like a decent deal but I haven't seen it in person yet. CARFAX report comes up clean, 2 owners.

My last car was an '87 Volvo 740... the interior of it ended up looking like something out of fucking Thunderdome, the heat never worked, nor did the radio or tape player, and eventually I damaged the engine more or less beyond repair.


I can't wait to be mobile again. I'll even have a car I can leave Cape Cod with. Thank fucking god.

I'm not entirely sure, but my last Volvo was great on gas (even when I was running it with no exhaust system, which cut out like all of the back-pressure). Being a turbo, this one might eat up a little more gas, but I'm not all that worried about it. They're generally good on gas mileage, and it's not like it's got a v8 or even a v6 in it, it's a 2.4L L5.


EDIT: And yeah, Emu, I can't wait to drive the fucker :D
