Sometimes when I go to save a jpeg, particularly in hotmail, it comes up as an untitled bitmap. How can I get around that?

I've noticed that before too. Whenever that used to happen, I would just save the file using a different browser like Netscape (since it only seemed to happen in IE) or just take a screenshot of the graphic, paste it into Photoshop and then save it from there.

I used to know what caused that because it used to happen to me after a few months of having Windows 98 installed... I think you have to fix it by changing something in your registry.
Hasn't happened since I switched to XP, though.

it's because your internet cache is full you need to clear it out

willie knows what hes talking about, I had the same problem years ago and that was exactly it. I cleared the cache and everything was fine after that.

No luck. I emptied out all the temporary files and cookies, and still have that problem.

I don't see the problem here... why don't you just save it as a bitmap and then open it in paint and resave it as a jpeg?

Because when you're mass saving images that can get tedious.
Back on Win98 when I got that problem it was due to a full cache, like everyone already said. Maybe try switching to a different browser, I do not know. :(

You don't need to save all that pornography.
