I cannot seem to get high enough audio quality with my system and I think I need some help.
Currently I have a Audigy X-Fi Fatal1ty FPS soundcard and some 200w Logitech Z2300 speakers (2.1). My music playback software is Winamp.
While game sound quality and simpler music like NIN, Zepelin etc is acceptable, whenever I play really noisy Hatebreed or similar metal it is audiably 'crispy', as if too many sounds are coming out of the speaker at once. I am using the winamp 'Rock' presetting in the EQ which I think may be cauing the problem somewhat but without it music seems flat and lacks treble. I am tempted to upgrade my speakers to the 5.1 more powerful version but at £200 it is alot to pay for speakers which will potentially have the same problem. Also I have only had my current speakers since christmas.
This is really annoying me because I have about £260 worth of audio equipment and it still cannot quite cut the mustard when it comes to really heavy music.
I am thinking that dispite my speakers high quality, they are just not built for such a large ammount of noise output.
Any help would be appreciated.
