During E3 of 2004, a game was revealed that wowed many an individual.
That game was Dead Rush (http://ps2.ign.com/articles/515/515588p1.html).
Alas, developing house Activision has since cancelled the game. I can't type fast enough to explain it here, just watch the trailer.
I know that not that many of you will do it, but will you please take three minutes to sign this petition (http://www.petitiononline.com/RDR0001/petition.html).
Just sign your name, add your email (which is kept private, I signed it too), and also a short little blurb about why it should be saved under the comment section.
This game shows a lot of potential. Besides, what better way to influence our country than through the power of petition.
Thanks to all ye who sign.

They never read those.
Your best chances are to mail them directly, or to run over to their building with some friends or maybe threaten some people to walk outside their building with you.

You could have at least signed the damn thing.
But, I'm gonna print all of 'em out and put the damn thing on their doorstep. And I'm gonna keep doing it 'til they listen.
I have nowhere near enough signatures to even have a remote effect on someone like Activision.
I'm calling out on everyone.

Cancelled projects are business decisions. This game was probably going to lose money, therefore it was cancelled. End of story.

I don't know how they'd lose money on something this awesome.
But I partly blame myself.
All of these polls they take to see what kind of genres people are into and what they wanna see, yet I haven't taken one.
Oh, and thank you all very much for signing.

Hey I remember reading about a game like this one few years ago, it was about survival by picking up scrapped car parts and running over undead fucks.
Probably the same game and promise

That is one aspect of the game, yes. But you can barracade building against the undead hordes, outfit your character with numerous armaments, etc. You can build and upgrade cars. Sometimes the zombies will latch onto the car and you have to scrape them off, like a good booger.
It's a crossbreed of RE 4 (same over the shoulder view) and Grand Theft Auto (with free-roaming and vehicle driving).

That definately looks that way. Now if only there are outlaws you also have to fend off, like those bikers in the original Dawn of the Dead.

I'm sure there are. A zombie apocolypse game/movie shouldn't be complete without one.

Fag.
And this game looks shitty. Like a wannabe The Cars that ate Paris racer or something.

As cliched as saying this is, what brilliant music do you listen to, punk?

Black Sabbath, Blue Öyster Cult, Metallica when they were still even remotely bearable, AC/DC, Pink Floyd, Iron Maiden, the Kinks, Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds, the Minibosses, Gorillaz, Iggy Pop, David Bowie.
Do you want me to go on?

Ok, you got me there (mostly because I like those bands). Nonetheless, despite the lack of bass and Cliff Burton, I still think and Justice For All was their last great album, and also that the game looks awesome

I like AJFA and I think Load's their best album and my opinion is better than any of yours'.

I'll admit that I did like some of the stuff off Load, like King Nothing, Hero of the day (especiallly on S&M), and Until it Sleeps(the video was pretty corny though).
Back on topic, considering Activision pretty much invented the side-scroller with Pitfall! and PitfallII, Im surprised that they would deny something this groundbreaking (mabye not as groundbreakng as Pitfall, but still)

Bump, because this still pisses me off.
Here's to Dead Rush, Frame City Killer, Vectorman, Biker Mice from Mars, and all of the other games that've met untimely ends.

When has a petition ever worked for a videogame? It's not like a TV or Movie DVD where 99% of the content is already made.
I bet there are 200 Starcraft II petitions out on the internet.

Here's a nice example.

Petitions are incredibly stupid. Like Achimp said, it's a business decision. I'm afraid half-baked democratic 'movements' don't have much of an effect.
