So do you think its a complete ripoff of the wiimote by using motion sensing? Or do you think the great new redesign and features could not have been born out of any man but Albert Einstein with a balloon on his left leg?

It looks like the PS2 controller to me. :O

No i refuse to believe it. I know sony had to think hard to make it gray and add a little button in the middle. They're freaking geniuses!!!!!!!

Yeah, those definately look like plain wireless PS2 controllers.
Besides, I thought this was the new controller:

The new controller will have the following features:
*2 versions, much like the XBox 360
*Wireless movement (though only gyroscopic), much like Nintendo's console
*controller identification, much like XBox 360
*The same exact design as PS2's controller
*USB port for the *required* cable, unless you get the upgraded package
*And last, but not least, you can relive gamings glory days with this new controller by remembering what it's like to have ABSOLUTELY NO RUMBLE FEATURE AT ALL.

yeah i think it has a 2 shoulder button / 2 triggers setup like the 360 too.
the tilt thing looks a bit tacked on tho, as if they wanted to steal some Wii madness or something

I never notice the rumble anyway. The only times I'm grateful for having it is on Silent Hill or another game where you don't have a visible hit point meter, because then I know when I'm badly hurt. Besides, wouldn't the rumble fuck up a wireless controller?

Me and a friend where discussing how cool it would be to have a little piston thingy inside your mouse so when you shoot a gun in a game it would knock your hand back. Kind of like the top bit of the light guns you get for games like Time Crisis.

They've sanded all the guns at the arcades around here, so there's no recoil from them at all. Just the unsatisfying click. :(
The 360 controllers have rumble, and it doesn't screw up gameplay or anything.

Lol. I played 360 once and kept on forgetting that it had no cord. It felt weird.

I can't stand the fucking stick placement on any of the godamn Playstation controllers. Besides we all know that the 360 controller is the BEST controller ever made. I love that thing.

Yeah, I'm surprised more people don't bitch about the retarded joystick placement on Playstations. I have to reach over to get to the joystick and when I'm going forward in some game and try and let my hand rest my thumb slips to the left and makes me run diagonally. >:

Games are a man's market. Our big man hands handle the controller just fine. You and your little girl hands can just go back to jacking us off while we kill things and save our progress.

Does the PS3 controller have triggers now or is it still 4 shoulder buttons? Triggers are the best.

I think they're still 4 shoulder buttons. If they are triggers, I'm going to cry. I despise triggers. They are the shittiest control design since a grooved analog stick.

Triggers are a beautiful thing. Not so much for fighting games and faggot RPGs but racing games and FPS games have benefited so much from triggers.

For racing games, maybe? Like, varying gas and break speed. But don't all racing games use the face buttons for that?
Really, I prefer pressure-sensitive analog control over triggers. You still get the same range as a trigger, but with the immediate response of a button. One of the things that pisses me off with my Gamecube is when I go to press L and R, but I'm not pressing ALL THE WAY DOWN to the snap to activate what I want, where on the PS2, I'm used to just having to tap the buttons to do what I need.
Triggers just mess with my vibe. Maybe it'd be better if games that didn't use the trigger as a trigger, would accept response from pressing the trigger only partway. :/

I find that I use the analog stick more often than a trigger when playing racing games like Burnout, because it offers me precise speed control. And how dare Microsoft blatantly rip off the Dreamcast controller and add 3 buttons, another stick, and move the cord around the back. Frickin' insane what those rich bastards get away with.

to be fair, no-one had ever seen a dreamcast controller before
