My grandma has a whole set of Halloween-type dishes. The skeleton-hand tongs are actually the best tongs ever.

i can't pick just one. i've got a large, oval hand-carved wooden oval bowl thingy that was my great-great-grandmother's. and a set of daisy china that was my granny's. and a potholder that my granny wove when she was a little girl.

I use it, although it is pretty banged-up now. The thermos leaked so I never used it :(

I take offense to this thread title because it refers to food-oriented items, not food-based. As for true-to-form food-based items, one of the most original I've seen was when I was judging for a cake contest with all-edible materials. Some kid brought in a cake with a hollowed melon husk baked in that was filled with water and had a live goldfish. Being the magnificant prick I am, I didn't give him a good vote because he wouldn't verify that the husk was edible by eating some of it.
