I just found out today if you click the middle mouse button on links that it will automatically open a new tab in programs such as netscape explorer/navigater/browswer (whatever they call it now). What convenience!

what other tricky shortcuts do you guys know lets share the secret ways of saving a few seconds.

I must be lucky or maybe it's a netscape feature or something :O I've been trying to figure out what makes it do that but I can't find the feature for it anywhere.

alt + <- is page back, alt + -> is page forward. Home goes to the top of the page, end goes to the bottom.

I usually use backspace to go back in Firefox.

i use backspace too :O

ctr+shift+home or end or something can sometimes be useful for highlighting purposes :O maybe i should rename this to the USEFUL SHORTCUTS thread.

Ctrl-T opens a new tab, and Ctrl-N opens a new browser window
For a dotcom site, left click to the right of the URL in the address bar, highlighting the current URL, then type in the name of the site without the extra crap, ie: GOOGLE then hit Ctrl-{enter}
Oh, and F11 toggles fullscreen

You can save precious seconds by not typing www.

Not typing "www." won't work for every website. It depends on how they've set up their domain.
