Gwar. I saw them in Poughkeepsie...it was so awesome.

The only thing that annoyed me is that I couldn't see over peoples heads. Why did I have to be born so damn short!

Well. . .In Hawaii, we don't get too many CONUS bands. Top three I've seen recently are:

1.) Fishbone (HI)
2.) Aquabats, The (HI)
3.) Demonics, The (CA) -this wasn't recent, but unfortunately, better than anything I've seen in the last couple years-

My criteria is more than just the music, but stage presence as well as crowd response.

Demolition Doll Rods

Fuck yeah!!! Don Caballero is absolutely mesmerizing live. I honestly didn't know if Damon Che could pull it off, but he made it look effortless.

Bad Religion
NOFX
Carcass
Dance Hall Crashers
Reverend Horton Heat

I've never had the chance to see Ween or Propagandhi, but they're both very high on my list of shows to see.

Also, Bad Religion is playing in Chicago on April 26th in Chicago at the Vic. I don't know who's opening, and I don't care. I'm still there.

MOTORHEAD :rock

These guys are older than dirt, and they can still kick the shit out of most of today's younger bands. Lemmy is a god.

Tool
Joe Satriani
Godspeed You Black Emperor
Clutch
Pro-Pain
Robin Trower
Overkill

These were all some awesome shows, but being legendary rockers who just fucking destroy, Motorhead definitely tops the list.

Lynyrd Skynyrd, B.B. King, and Tool are the three best shows I've seen.

Stone Sour also put on a surprisingly good show.

I haven't been to that many concerts but there are plenty that I really want to go to. Right now, Ryan Adams tops my list of "Concerts I want to see before I die."

Best live shows I've ever seen would be in no order...

Primus
Cheap Trick
the Cramps

and the number one live show I've ever seen(you may laugh if you wish but I mean it...)

RUSH!! Yes, I saw them in '97 live in Dallas. You can talk all day about how goofy their lyrics/vocals are(and who's to argue?) but these guys were in their late 40s at the time, sounding every bit as tight as on their overproduced records. Peart busted out an amazing 15 minute drum solo with 3 kits that literally rotated around him when he needed to use the next one. They may be cheesy fucks, but when it comes to knowing how to rock live, they don't fuck around. Oh, Canada!

Oxes. Nothing like a guitarist walking out of the club to follow people around outside. They also play on boxes.

THE CLASH >:

I've only seen videos and heard recordings of their live shows, as they, for all intensive purposes, broke up around the time I was born. But from what I've seen/heard, they're still better than any other band I have ever seen live.

I swear I have heard at least 12 different versions of Armagideon Time that sound absolutely nothing like the original. Fuckin' awesome.

A couple more have come back to me.
Flat Duo Jets was an awesome show. I danced till I puked, For Real!
Detroit Cobras put on a fugly good show. (That was at the Sleaze Fest in Chapel Hill,NC along with Unkown Hinson, Southern Culture on the Skids, and many other ugly people).
Rancid rocked but were damned annoying with their punker-than-thou punktitude.
If you haven't seen Wesley Willis, you're missing one mockable experience. Rock Over London. Rock On Chicago!

How could I have forgotten the Ramones (with Dee Dee)?

I liked Deftones a lot, and Pennywise and Rancid were fun to see. Dropkick Murphys totally kicked ass, though. W00t for Warped Tour. :shades

Deftones was a great live band. I saw them during the Around the Fur tour. The Rollins Band at the RFK Stadium during the Hardcore Festival was the best show. Henry Rollins is one angry motherfucker. Others I've enjoyed were Neurosis, Tool, White Zombie and Mbshicbhasheal Jashjdcksohsn back in '85.
