This is one of the best PC games EVER made. While the graphics aren't great, it still holds up as a very fun game even if you play it today. You go through a very vast galaxy and interact with many different alien races on your quest to save humanity. Each different alien race had it's own unique traits and personality quirks, which made each new one fun to discover and interact with. The music for this game is some of the best music ever, with each race having it's own theme music, which varied widely in sound and style, depending on the race. It also offered great space combat sequences, where you would pit a ship from your own hangar against enemy fleets. And this game still blows the hell out of the sequel, Star Control 3, which just plain sucked ass. Check this game out, you won't be disappointed!
