Not many people remember this game, which actually surprises me. In my neighborhood this was the most popular game around. On any arcade local (or mostly, anywhere with someone with enough money to buy several 2600 and cheap wood cabinets) you would find this game, and always with someone playing it.
I think this game was ahead of his time. It was comprised of several missions, all of them different, but at the time very similar. The goal of each mission is to rescue some guy that is lost somewhere (I think the game takes place in the jungle, or a prison or a mine, I don't remember very well). And for this you are equipped with a personal helicopter (attached to your back), a laser beam (that comes from your eyes, ala Cyclops) and tons of dynamite. You would blast your way thru the mission, blowing up walls, flying over rivers of lava and at the same time avoiding monsters, watching for electrified walls and killing bug-like creatures. The layout of the missions changed constantly, so you won't get bored easily.
The graphics were excellent (for their time) and though there was no music to speak of, the sound of the explosions, the chopper and the laser beam were good.
All in all, this was one of the most original games to come out for the venerable Atari 2600. You should do yourself a favor and play this game.
