Take what would you believe Mario games have to be... and disregard them. Because mostly everything you know about the plumber has changed for this game. First, take a look at the graphics. Even today, they are impressive; think about how much better they were compared to every other 16-bit game in existance.

Next, look at the fighting. As the title shows, this is an RPG- meaning that you have to know more than how to jump on enemies. Characters have been reinvented, such as Mario showing the quality of RPG characters usually not talking, and/or created to improve the storyline. Think about it- would it be the same if couldn't reunite Mallow with his family? Or would it be as cool to have Luigi, a character without a correlation to Smithy in any way, instead of Geno?

The mini-quests are especially entertaining. Fighting the main enemy from FF3 is quite fun, as is taking on Jinx. However, the one I enjoy the most is the casino. Overall, one of the greatest games I have seen.

And yes, I'm aware I didn't put any of the plot here- that's for you to see!
