Arguably the best boxing game ever, this one had it all. You want a challenging game? You got it (in the later rounds at least). You want a game without Mario? Well, too bad, he's in here. You want a game rife with racial stereotypes? Then you've hit the jackpot. A broken english Japanese guy, the swami Indian, the drunk Russian, the black ear-biting convicted rapist, it just doesn't get any better than this folks.

Gameplay is very simple. There are only a few basic moves; punch with the left or right hand (to the face or body), dodge, and block.

The storyline follows a small time boxer named Mac and his manager Doc from the mean streets of New York to the final match against Mike Tyson himself. Doc offers such helpful hints such as "Stick and move, Mac. Stick and move." With wisdom like this in your corner it doesn't matter that Mac is only 2 feet tall and wears green boxing gloves, he's destined to win.
