What can I say about Monkey Island? Well, it’s the first graphic adventure I have ever played (I remember it was in an old monochrome monitor even). You play as Guybrush Threepwood, a young fellow that arrives to Melee Island to become a pirate (which he'll say at least once to each NPC in the game, only to change it for "I’m a fierce pirate"). As you delve further throughout Guybrush's story, you will find characters such as pirates, ghost pirates, the talking head of a sailor, cannibals, the governor of melee island, and of course, a giant monkey head.
Monkey island is a classic "point-an-click" adventure, in which you’ll travel through different places to find objects, solve puzzles, and see an incredible amount of jokes, gags and parodies (like in the bar in Melee Island, in which there’s a guy with a tag that reads "ask me about loom*"). The puzzles aren’t too hard (though, if you’ve played other graphic adventures, this game might be easy for you).
Monkey island might seem old compared to today standards (ok, you kids who have grown with a Playstation will think its archaic <.<) but its worth playing it (and I’m pretty sure it’ll take you longer to finish than any PS2 game there’s out there <.<)
