This game was originally made for the computer and got made for the SNES. This was impressive because the SNES was only 16 bit.
On Wolfenstein 3D you fought nazis. What I found strange about the SNES Wolfenstein 3D was that when nazi soldiers spot you, they spoke English. They yelled halt and stop. On the computer they spoke in German.
Like the computer version, you had to find keys and unlock doors. Soldiers that were dressed in orange were easy to kill. Soldiers in blue took a few more shots to kill.
You also had to fight mutants and large mutant rats. The rats replaced the guard dogs that were in the computer and 3DO versions.
The graphics on the computer version and the 3DO version were superior to the Super Nintendo's. All through the game were paintings of Hitler. But what is really stupid is that Hitler has no mustache.
You could get several different weapons. You got a pistol, a machine gun, a flame thrower, etc. When you run out of ammunition for all weapons, you had a knife to fight with.
The SNES version of Wolfenstein had no blood. That sucked.
At the end of the game, you fight Hitler himself. Wolfenstein 3D was one of the best games for the SNES, but the SNES version of Wolfenstein 3D was also the worst version made. The 3DO and computer versions were superior.
