Way back in 1983, I played Pac-Man Plus at Food City. I was only eleven years old. I recently bought it on an emulator for my PC. Pac-Man Plus isn't much of a change from the original.
The maze is green instead of blue. The game is more difficult. Pac-man moves faster. Sometimes not every ghost becomes vulnerable when you eat Power pellets and sometimes eating Power pellets makes the maze disappear for a short time.
The prizes are also different. The first prize is a Coca-Cola can, the second prize is a drink in a glass, and the 3rd and 4th prizes are pea pods. When you eat a prize on Pac-man Plus, the ghosts disappear and become vulnerable. When you chomp ghosts after eating a prize, they're worth twice as many points.
Another change on Pac-Man Plus is that when ghosts become vulnerable, flags appear on their heads.
Pac-Man Plus is just Pac-Man with a twist. It's not something to get excited about. It's not much different than playing the original Pac-man. I give it a five.
