If you thought Shinobi was only released for the NES and SMS then I have a one version that never did get released in America. If you want to know why it wasn't released here? Because this version is IMPOSSIBLE! Now onto the review.

Game Play = 7
It plays like the SMS version, but there is ONE difference: No Lifebar which sucks since I can't get past that "Ken Oh" bastard without getting myself killed. Therefore, this game is closer to the arcade version than the other console versions, which did get released in the US.

Graphics = 10
They are directly ripped from the arcade version; unlike the other two ports that were made before the TG-16 came out, and they easily compare with the Genesis titles in this category.

Music and sound = 10
This is another of the Turbo version's high points. There's more tunes in this version than the other two, which gives this version a slight advantage. This part is also true to the arcade version.

Originality = 4
It's a direct port of the arcade version so it figures.

This version is for those looking for a real challenge. However, those looking for something new or easy to beat should get Ninja Spirit for this system. This version gets a seven because it is true to the arcade version, but still has that version's flaws.
