I'm dissapointed that people aren't writing reviews to R-Type, Blazin' Lazers, and Raiden. Looks like I have to write a review to the classic game Gradius 3. If you want to know what Gradius is, then you're a new-age gamer who is hopelessly addicted to games that are full of rendered .avi (FMV was not used in a game until The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time) and have really boring gameplay.

Game Play: So what if it plays like every other god damn horizontal shooter, it remains fun from beginning to end. Not everyone can beat this game without continuation.

Graphics: They don't compare with R-type 2 (arcade version), but they are well animated and well detailed.

Music & Sound: Some of the most enjoyable tunes on the Super NES. The sound effects aren't interesting or annoying.

Originality: Same as the first two games in the series, except that you can customize what power-ups you get.

If you want a game that is worth your money, then this is it. I've played both the US and Japanese versions and there is no difference between the two so far. Overall, Gradius 3 deserves a ten.
