If there is one parody game that I like then this fits the bill. The guys at Namco were overjoyed with the success of the arcade Splatterhouse that they decided to spoof it, and this resulted in the best parody game there is. This game parodies movies such as The Exorcist, Teen Wolf, Jaws, Friday the 13th, and a few others.

Game play: True to the original arcade game, but there's less weapons at your disposal. If you think that this game is near impossible with less weapons, then you are a dyed-in-the-wool moron. Rick starts with a cleaver, but the shotgun is still present (hard to find, but when you do get it then "it's killin' time.").

Graphics: Nice and cutesy with some gore here and there. Easily comparable with the NES version of Kid Dracula.

Music and sound: The sounds in the game are decent, but the music somewhat sucks. The reason I am saying this because some of the tunes are repetitive.

Originality: Namco did something that was completely original that remained true to the arcade game somewhat. It may not be totally new in game mechanics, but the rest of it contemplates for it.

What do I say? If you find the rom, download it. You will NOT be disappointed.
