If there is one version of Space Invaders I happen
to like, then this is it. Of course I've played the original when I played Space Invaders 64, but this game just may be the best version of Space Invaders to date.

The game play: It may play like the first two games (Yes, there is a Space Invaders 2.), but were there power-ups in the original? Not at all, however I haven't played part 2 so that game is out of the question. They range in from a bowling ball to a time-distorter, and did I mention you can charge up your shots a la R-Type?

The Graphics are what they should be in a modernized revision like this: anime-ish (Anyone who thinks I'm a Homo deserves to be shot with a chain gun, I shit you NOT!). After all, this game was meant to be a tribute as well as an enhanced remake.

The music: Hilarious if you think about it while playing the game. They did a good job when it came to music variety and creativity. The sound effects aren't half bad either.

Beyond the Stage creativity, the character selection, and the boss fights: There isn't much that's original here.

If you find this in your arcade, Do Not Hesitate to pop a few coins in and have a really fun time (The co-operative play mode adds to the game's fun factor.).
