# of Players: 1-2<BR><BR>Synopsis: I loved playing this game with my brother and aunt at the local miniature golf course, so when I got it for MAME I became addicted. <BR><BR>It’s basically Othello (based on the Chinese game Go) with creepy graphics. <BR> <BR>Gameplay: 9/10 - Your playing pieces are called “globs” which look like blobs of red or blue slime. You can either grow a new glob by moving one space, or jump the glob up to two spaces. If your opponent’s globs are touching the space you moved your glob to, you capture them. The goal is to either have more globs on the board than your opponent or change all of his or her globs into your color. In single player games, you play against five disgusting alien opponents with names like Drool Man and Gorgon, and in two player games you, of course, play against another person. There is also a time limit which you can increase by adding more coins. When the time runs out, you automatically lose. One interesting feature of the arcade version is that it saves your score and rank if you enter your initials and birthdate into the computer (kind of like Gauntlet: Legends). This was really cool because I could come back another day with a high rank. The game gets pretty challenging, too, so you'll spend some time trying to master it.<BR><BR>Graphics: 7/10 – The graphics aren’t great, but since it’s a puzzle game it’s not that important. Still, your opponents are pretty nasty-looking, especially Drool Man. <BR><BR>Music/Sound: 7/10 – There isn’t any music, except for a creepy heart beat which adds to the game. The sound effects of your opponents are interesting, too, because they moan and laugh depending on how well they’re doing. <BR><BR>Originality: 4/10 – It’s Othello, so it’s been around forever. I can’t say this game is very original, though since I love horror themes the graphics appeal to me. <BR><BR>Overall: 7/10 – If you like Othello, you’ll love this game. Otherwise, you probably won’t want to play this, especially if you don't have a person to play it with. I’m addicted to puzzle games, so I’d recommend it to people who like this genre. <BR>
