If there is one game in 1981 that should have joined the ranks of Ms. Pac-Man and Galaga; I wouldchoose Bosconian. What makes Bosconian so special you ask?
ONE: It was the first free-roaming video game.
TWO: It was the first game with the search-and-destroy emphasis.
Three: It came with front and rear shooting as standard equipment.
However, its own innovation(and marketing) killed its chance for sucess in the arcades.<palign="center">What I like about Bosconian

Original; the people at Namco got off their Pac-man high long enough to create something innovative.

The Map makes it easier to hunt down enemy space stations due to the game's free-roaming gameplay.

The voice chip gives the game some more identity from other games Namco had made at that time.

Decent graphics.

What don't like about the game.

Confusing at times.

Beyond the voices, the sound doesn't really stand out.

Conclusion: If you ever find this game; play it A.S.A.P. If you find Namco Museum Volume One for the PS; get it.
