Serious Question

Do any of you people live in or near Beaumont, Tx? A friends son was murdered in an apparent car-jacking gone wrong and I'm having trouble finding any info on it. The guy's name was Ben Harlan, and any information you might have would be greatly appreciated.

Apparently the guy was living in an assisted care facility ( he was autistic) and was a passenger in the car, when it got car jacked. His parents are super nice people. :(

OKay, I found out this morning that it wasn't a car jacking after all (damned rumor mills). The guy had car trouble and was walking on the shoulder of the road and was struck from behind and killed. And, it was in Tuscaloosa, Al...he's being buried in Beaumont, TX.

from what I've heard, the guy was walking on the shoulder of the road and the car came from behind and hit him. It looks as though it was just a horrible accident.

i had a good friend who was hit from behind and killed by a drunk driver. he was riding his bike on the shoulder of pacific coast highway in huntington beach and the driver swerved and took him from behind. the police were able to perform an investigation and three years later they were able to close the case when they caught the guy. but it took long hours and lots of work.
