The past few weeks or more this site keeps lagging...anyone else find this to be true?

Yeah...
The homepage lags a bit for me and it takes a while to get onto the forum, especially when replying to something from an e-mail :\

It's like there is a delay everytime I post...someone reading my posts before they go up just in case I say something rude? :blah

Or how about the FBI theory - checking all your activity looking for anything incriminating :lol

I've noticed the site has been extremely slow the past couple weeks as well.

I'm talking with our host about yet another server upgrade cuz of all the traffic (bye bye money), but until we settle on the upgrade package, things will be running a bit slow.

I've noticed the slowdown and I also noticed that there is now usually over 60 lurkers/guests listed in the users logged in thing.

guys i haven't made a new account in a while so i don't know if it's doing this or not but if you put a CAPTCHA or something like that on making new accounts and maybe even on the first 1-10 posts someone makes it will make it a lot harder for bullcrap spambots to ruin the forums

The problem seemed to start when the Forum changed. And I've noticed that the larger the thread, the slower it loads. As if the site has to compile the entire thread before it can show it to me. I think this new forum is draining your bandwidth.

also use-ful would be to auto-delete accounts with 0 posts AND 0 pms (i.e. all theyd have to do is send a admin a pm sayin "hay i am a lurker and dont wanna delurk plz dont delete my account" and they'd be set) that are still inactive after a week

The threads don't appear if I click them from my e-mail anymore - just remain blank. I have to physically go to the forum, and find them now :(

If mockery takes a look at the server stats, maybe we can find out whether the bandwidth really is being used up on the forum side or the main page side, and then act accordingly.

For the record, it's getting dangerously slow. Slow enough to turn people away, I think.
